it is my opinion that obama made statements like the one you quoted to simply gain votes, while his and biden's voting records prove a completely different story.

I took a sound bite, and said that about someone joking that they would lose their guns.

I never reviewed the actual process of gunlaws, and then in the brief time I looked on google, all I found were sketchy as shit websites with mainly people's opinions who have sex with their guns and think they will need to rise up and overthrow the government.

Did Obama say things to win votes? Fuck yeah, everyone knows this. Just as McCain did as well!

And yeah, it is a complete non-issue to me. I don't own guns, doubt I ever will. So it matters none to me.

obama is a joke? you're a joke- ok, the vice president has two years in ex. office, nice, good job, to bad mccain is a senator just like obama, and perhaps you would like to take into account that sometimes experience isn't always the thing that matters, perhaps you would like to look back at the party that has been in office for the last two years, has given foreign policy a new despicable meaning, has crashed the american economy, wasted BILLIONS on nuclear warfare for nothing, and has now chosen a useless warmonger for president and for vice- a woman whos past is riddled with lies, hipocrasy, and has already shown that she is a useless politician, not to mention has absolutely no priority for what may be the largest problem of our generation- the environment. Obama may not be perfect but nonetheless america needs anything but what they've had for the last 8 years, anything. So why the fuck, and how could you vote for what has ruined americas name, when change and hope are in site? how? it just doesn't make sense to me.

actually, former president clinton was on the daily show a while ago, and he called out members of congress for spending their whole terms campaigning and fundraising for their next term, instead of actually doing what they were voted into office to do.

here's my reason for voting for obama, simple, i want abortion legal, my family's income is less than 250k a year, i care about the envrionment (i want to be able to ski in 20 years), i don't think major corporations who outsource jobs should get tax cuts, gun control is a non issue in my mind, same sex marriage - i think it's gross, but they should have the same rights as any other couple.

one phrase obama stands for - middle class america
