Palin scares the shit out of me to be honest...i do think mccain could do a good job at running the country, but he seems to have his head barried in saying everything that is wrong with obamas platform, rather then saying what is right with his.
i do honestly think that mccain has i high chance of dying in his 4 years of office by natural causes, and do u really want palin to have palin at the head of the ship??
even though i dont live in america i personally wouldnt want that dumdum with the nuclear codes.

She has been the Governor of my state for two years...in that time she has accomplished the Alaska Gasline Inducement Act (AGIA) for a natural gas pipeline..something other people had been saying they would do for 18 years or something insane.

She is a self-made woman, who didn't stand on her husband's shoulders, and use his reputation and clout to get where she is (a la Hillary), and has had the highest approval rating of her states constituents among any Governor in the country.

She is a woman of action. And we need someone who can be decisive...Obama has proven he can't be by his senate voting record alone. He also plans to do idiotic things economically...coal will be all but bankrupt under his plan, meaning electricity will skyrocket (thanks for helping with the energy problem, Barry). All I hear when he talks is "CHANGE", but he hasn't actually said how he'll change things.

And nationalized healthcare is a horrible idea, not to pick on you guys, but...look at Canada.

She's not a "dumdum", she was notified same-day that McCain wanted her on the ticket with him, so naturally it takes some time to adjust to the new environment.

Give her a year and she'll surprise you all, I promise...That's what she did here.
 
rain make traffic bad, so I took backroads to get to school. There were some obama sign people just goin crazy at one corner, but I hit a puddle and splashed them (a sincere accident). If I had a bit more of a cold heart, I wish I splashed them while hollerin for McCain.

Not one of you has argued Obama's senate record, or his energy or national healthcare plan, or really any of the issues, but if you'll resort to name-calling, I don't mind calling Obama by his real, full name.

Then please tell me which part of Obama's plans to fix those things you like best...because he's already told us that he plans on ruining the coal industry, and driving energy costs even higher. His pullout plan for the war isn't of any consequence because we've already got one, it can't happen tomorrow though, that would be a huge fail.

Until him, I'd never heard a politician, much less a presidential candidate actually say be wanted to destroy a part of the US economy.

I like his tax plan

I like his energy. Noone ever said that no longer polluting a shitload was gonna be cheap.

I like the fact that he is more critical of the war, as opposed to Palin and McCain, mccain who loves the war and palin who thinks god sent us there.

I like that he doesnt blindly support israel

I like that he actually wants to talk, not just wave a big stick. DIPLOMACY what a concept
 
See, just that quote right there is evidence that you don't do this "research" you're whining about, you just regurgitate talking points. The quote this particular talking point comes from refers to the fact that dirty coal plants tend to violate so many environmental regulations that owing to fines, they can't possibly be profitable. Humorously, in 2005 McCain co-sponsored a bill that had the exact same purpose. Which is fine... it just reveals the hypocrisy of these knee-jerk reactionary lee-atwater style political smears.

What do I like about Obama's plans? I like that he's found a fair middle ground between national health care A La Hillary (which America is too stubborn to accept), and a fully privatized system which involves dying people fighting to get their insurance companies to cover them and leaves millions of people without coverage praying they don't get hurt.
 
I'm also pretty impressed by his focus on infrastructure down there... the electrical grid in many parts of the country is woefully out of date, you'd think you were in rural China or something. It's vulnerable to attack, should another one happen, and isn't up to par in terms of transporting the products of alternative energy sources intranationally.
 
That's a good thing. In a country that's fallen to shit and is the most hated place on the entire planet, anybody thinking that they're doing the right thing by supporting it, is a failure. After everything the USA has fucked up in the past decade, you still think the next person to lead should support that bullshit? By wearing a pin? Ha. I guess the fact that you like America so much proves that you'd like to see it get even worse (believe it or not, it's possible).

I think everyone has the right to healthcare. and he his trying to achieve that without the full on socialized medicine of Hilary.
