Official Complicated Mind Fuck Topic Discussion Thread

I was talking with a group of people today about a bunch of "what if" predicaments such as the ability to travel at or faster than light speed and how you could travel through time and witness the past (not your own but actually a source of light from the past) but not be a part of it, only experience it.
We also went into the perception of time, and how it's possible for animals to perceive time differently, such as a starfish, which moves incredibly slowly, perceiving it's actions to actually be moving normally. For example walking as opposed to running, theoretically, a starfish could move to one side of a rock in around a half a day's time as we perceive it, but to the starfish it could as well be jogging over to meet it. Don't just discard this theory, especially if you toke, since everyone that has, has experienced something called "Marijuana Minutes" where 2 minutes feels like two hours.
Another topic was sensory depravation, being kept in a box, with it pitch black, for an elongated amount of time, would you eventually lose your sense of time, and have either a week feel like a month or vice versa?
Feel free to elaborate on any of the above topics, or start your own

Go nuts

Internet. I never fully understood how it works. I mean I know what they say, but when I think about it, shit.

Also, the universe. Anything to do with it haha

i sense an epic thread.

on topic could be the excistance of a higher form of being. i dont really belive in god but i am under the assumtion that there is a higher power influencing our dicisions. so we control 90% of our destiny but there are pivital points throughout life that are beyond our control. does anyone else have a similar philosophy nd if so what haooens when we die? i choose to belive in re incarnation after some time in the after life.

This thread will either be multiple pages or fail....
anyway about time perception i believe wholly that time is percieved differently not just by different species but every different being. like a dogs life is only about 13 years but what if that doesnt feel like 13 years for them but rather half centuries and more.
looking back in time would be dope. i think if you could look forward in time itd be way scary. like if you see your self like one of the people in the meth ad at the top of the page im typing on like that would freak me out knowing whatever i do im gunna be addicted to meth. there is a really cool moving coming out that kinda sounds like that i dont recall the exact name its like "the something men" anywho dope thread dude

Chappelles show-the cam that showed you in the future.....enough said about looking foward? haha

official it's already been done before thread.
jesus.
teleportation through quantum entanglement.
white holes.
this universe is inside a black hole.
there are aliens, they have visited earth. want proof? spend 3k on 3rd gen night vision and look up.
oh, and this new-fangled thing called the searchbbar
all of these will blow your mind

This thread would be interesting if it weren't for people mentioning completely stupid things that are obviously impossible.

You can not look forward in time. There is no afterlife. You can not travel backward in time.

quit being a downer, the point of the thread is to discuss theoreticals, the "What if we could's" of the world

this post here has made every single post you will ever make never be taken seriously.
learn to internet.

not high enough to fully get into true mindfucks, but..

think about how everything there is. all the crazy shit on earth right down to your own thoughts, feelings and experiences. all of that is cause by tiny particles that do nothing but attract and repel each other in different ways.

also think about the universe. they say its infinite because its always expanding, but if it is, where is it expanding into? what is it that is outside the universe? you could say "nothingness", but that's just the universe: empty space. even nothingness is part of the universe, so what's at the end of the nothingness?

all i got right now

that is, its not a specific thing. It changes, fluctuates, and varies between each observer

electrons are mobile in a metal. if they are all pulled towards one side, then one side is positively charged and the other side is negatively.

blackholes - tiny object that is SOO SO massive has such strong gravitational pull that it bends light around it, and light the goes directly at it cannot travel out of it because the gravity is so strong, hence it becomes black.

it also warps time, but thats another story

Because you're always moving forwards in time, so technically you can travel forwards. You move through time slower in areas of high densities of matter, so if you came to a stop in time there would be technically an infinite density of matter (black hole, gravity allowing you to travel forward in time by skimming a black hole, although its technically impossible because you would get torn apart). If you were to move backwards in time, you would need some very strange densities going on. There's a fabric of space time that can be measured by gravity and the density of matter in it. If you wanted to go backwards in time you would need an anomaly, such as a wormhole with negative energy density. We have never seen evidence of this negative energy density though, so for all practical applications time travel does not exist, and would only be forward travel.

When i first started reading what you said about the black hole, i was thinking about a different kind of black hole, man i gotta stop watching porn.....

oh and have you guys ever wondered how much we have grown? its a weird thought, but we used to be a tiny little fetus only centimetres tall, and weighing a couple of grams...now look at us. how the shit did we get so big

There is no way to travel backwards in time. It wouldnt work. You cant be in two places at the same time. Also, google the "grandfather paradox".

You cannot travel into the future because it is physically impossible to travel faster than the speed of light (which is what it would require to travel into the future). According to E=MC2, it would take an infinite amount of energy to travel the speed of light, which is obviously not possible.

However, travelling very, very fast will make you percieve time differently. The faster you travel, the slower you percieve time.

If you travelled really really fast in a spaceship for a few years and then came back to earth, you would have aged much less than the people who were chilling on earth the whole time... This is not time travel, but it is an example of time being relative.

Actually yes. I have thought about that a lot.

Yeah, I know the science behind it, but when you see even a baby, and imagine them being 6 feet tall and 180 pounds, or whatever the average is, its amazing.

Going even deeper, when you ejaculate, you think, wow, there are potentially thousands of humans here. Its crazy.

all things i already know of, they measured it with atomic clocks, yada yada yada
look up teleportation through quantum entanglement.
'technically' speaking you could travel faster than the speed of light.

can you ever be "there?" if you get where there was, are you there, or here? or does there change to here whne you get there? and if it does. does that count as beimg there? or since its now here, are you here and not there? or can you be both here and there?

also, the magnitude of the universe. we see stars lightyears away that are considered close.

third, the origin of matter. we hypothesize that all matter was packed into a ridiculously small, dense are, golfball sized i think i heard, and exploded into all of what we have now. but where did the golfball come from? and how do we know that we are not tiny; a universe within a universe, either preserved or gone unnoticed. so many things to be confused by...

not really on my mind at the time of... but afterwords it is quite an intresting though,

or the fact that one of your DNA strands could have been copied incorrectly and one of those sperm could have made a disabled child.

I think the fact that when you look at the sky and see all of the stars, anyone of those could be a sun to planets. There are billions of stars and it just feels like to think that we are the only ones in the universe is crazy

I understand the idea behind the whole quantum entanglement thing... however, I am quite certain that Quantum theory only applies on the quantum level.

Yea I'm not thinking that while I'm having sex, but after....should have said so haha

and yea, DNA is crazy, I heard that if you change DNA you can become immune to certain diseases or something, don't know if its true, I haven't taken a single science class in 4 years except for "The Oceans" haha

YES! I was thinking this, but I didn't want to say it because I'm not in the "thinking mood" right now......I know I've potentially killed sooooo many people haha

ha yeah, the fucked thing is that evertime we ejaculated, it went to waste eg shower etc, but imagine if it was conceived by a woman instead. we would have like a million children right now. imagine how overpopulated the world would be if everytime someone ejaculated, it turned into a baby

exactly! it almost makes me feel guilty haha

I will be responding to this with more thought at a later time for sure! KimJong, you know have me really thinking haha thanks

The short version of how magnets work is that every electron in an atom has a magnetic spin to it. it is labeled as either +1/2 or -1/2 but that essentially just means that they have positive or negative spins to them. in a magnet the atoms of the metal (Iron being the most common and easiest) the atoms are manipulated so that the spins are put in opposite directions. Thus creating compounds where one end contains all the negative spinning electrons and the other containing the positively spinning electrons. Creating the positive and negative ends. That is the basic idea of it

My physics teacher told me something about how time travels slightly slower at extremely high speeds (near speed of light) and therefore if an object with a person in it could reach those speeds (currently impossible bc of fuel restrictions) then a person could leave the earth and travel at thise speeds then return to earth, they would have traveled back in time to get back on the earth. Think about it... They experienced more time pass than everyone else.

holy wow think about like how we are in earth which is in a solar system, and a buncha solar systems make up a galaxy, and millions of galaxys make up a supercluster and there are a lot of superclusters. i learned all this cause in 6th grade i had so make a cereal and i called it supercluster crunch!

Yes, but its not fair!

You see a hot girl, you wanna fuck her. Say you do. It feels good. You're happy. Eight days later your penis burns and itches, then you jerk it to try to get rid of it, and you cum blood.

It's just not fair!
