*Official College Acceptance Thread '09*

U of Arizona, U of Oregon, and Boulder. Definitely going to Boulder super stoked. If anyone is about to be an incoming freshman there hit me up.

Just got into princeton. forgot to add that to my list of colleges I'm waiting on. unfortunately, no financial aid was given or scholarships so I'm not going haha

Accepted at:

Bowdoin

Colorado College

Lewis and Clark

U of Michigan

waiting for... Colby, Hamilton, Colgate, Claremont Mckenna, Dartmouth (deferred early decision)

Got into:

UW Honors, UVM Honors, Colorado College, Princeton, Colgate, Colby

Rejected:

Bates, Middlebury

hooray, they're all back. now to decide

bates had sooooo many applicants this year. im sure that princeton was that much of a fluke and that you would have gotten in to bates too. im assuming you applied regular decision to bates. 2/3 of the accepted applicants came from early decision.

UVM, Geneseo, Allegheny, waitlisted at Colorado College, and got into the Ag school at McGill. I didn't realize this was a totally different campus, though, and would want to transfer to either sciences or arts and sciences downtown. Anybody know how easy interfaculty transferring is at McGill? Please?and waiting on Cornell tomorrow

to the creator:

I live in Syracuse, and Leymone is cool but the best part is the proximity to Syracuse University, it does feel good to get in tho, i got into Binghamton University, University at Buffalo and Clarkson so far

mmm...go into the school's website and fill up international students forms. They have complete guides on what steps yo should follow.

I had a good mix of A's and B's and I even had a C+ in math one semester. I think they overlooked that though seeing as how I got an A the next semester. I had a 3.65 GPA but I got a 2080 on my SAT's and had a very solid list of extracurriculars.

Can't go wrong with WWU. Baker is sick as we all know but I am one of the people who has actually been there on this sight. Id go WWU if I were you.

I'm probably doing a year at UNH because it's ridiculously cheap, then transferring. Was accepted into Dartmouth, BU, BC, Northeastern, UVM Honors, and Brown.

i would go to Brown if i was in your situation
as for me:U of TConcordiawaiting to hear from McGill, Uottawa, and NYU
im applying as a transfer student btw

I would go to Brown, it was my top choice, but I didn't get enough financial aid to go there. Unfortunately I have to choose where I go based upon financial aid.

stanford would be sooooo dope.

unfortunately for me, i dont want ot go to any of the places i got in (western state, u of u, lyndon state) so i may go to umaine farmington for a year before transferring somewhere else, or a cc about ten minutes from my town for 2 years to save money, boost my gpa, and get gen ed courses done.

after all of that, thinking of ohio state, virginia tech, unh

word dude, CC's arent too bad, im going to one this year ,i got into all my schools last year, but wasnt sure if i wanted to go to those ones/what i wanted to do. so i opted for cc, and next year im going to FL to do what i really wanted to do, not just what other people said i should go to school for. it saved like 10k after just 1 year, and i just knocked out some gen eds.

got into both schools that I applied to, Johnson State and University of Utah. Probably gonna go to U of U.

yeah def. im waiting on fin. aid from umf and will decide then.

one nice part about going to a cc is that my parents said i could turn our basement into a makeshift apartment. i will also have consistent work during the time at cc, so i could pay for it.

one issue is that id be missing the college experience

living in dorms, shitty food, partying;

i still need to weigh the pros and cons of each

word mang, my parents are chill as fuck i think, they dont care if i come home drunk/drink, no blazing but whatevs i dont do that anyways. but the livign at home and not haveing the college experiance kinda sucks.

mine really care about all of that stuff. the last party i went to, i have a sip of a highly diluted screwdriver, i walked in the house, said goodnight and my mom sniped me for it. she knew but i told her she was nuts.

and i really want the college experience, but dont want to drop a ton of coin on some place i dont want to go

^Cornell represent, have fun drinking your face off at frat parties, that's what I did all 4 years here, haha
