Official Cascades thread 2010/11

I went yesterday, everything was nice but a little icy and very windy. With the small amount of snow we are currently getting, I'm sure tomorrow will be a good one.

Everything is melting. No lips onto rails anymore. Jumps are pretty small now. Big bare patches in the middle of runs F-U weather!

It hasn't been open since last weekend. It was pretty good last time I was there. No new features bu there was still a ton of snow.

^they actually had some new features. They moved around the tap/jib things. They split the spine in half and made rollers out of em, looks sick. Then they have a flat rail tap/stall and a barrier tap/stall. The step up is really small and the last jumps are kinda sketchy now. If they groomed down the jumps they could easily last another week.

All that stuff has been there for at least 2 weeks. Good to know about the jumps though. They will decide on Thursday if they will be open this weekend.

yeah i am probably going to go up wednesday or thursday and hike some of the features if it is nice out

CLOSED FOR THE SEASON! They were taking chairs off today.

Every thing is still hike-able though. There is a shovel and rake in the lift shack at the top.

How is your park? rails? how big are the jumps and how many?

I might be moving to ottawa so how far is this mountain from downtown ottawa? thanks:)

Parks really good one of the best in ottawa. Rails are awesome, jumps are decent, the biggest was something like 40 feet this year.

Its also the cheapest seasons pass in ottawa, something like $100 gets you unlimited weekdays, and nights (every day of the week).
