Official Camp Fortune Thread

Jumps are the same, landings a bit different (more defined knuckles?). Icy as shit the night I was there

has a few more boxes set up now - coffin, two big butter boxes with a little gap in between, flat box, and flat-down box. Still no rails and it doesn't seem to be in their gameplan. Wallride and barrel bonk setup too if your into that kind of stuff

Went there tongiht, same set up as said above^

Not very impressed, its a very very flat park, hard to get speed for the middle booter.

Where is the Down-Flat-Down? Easily fortunes best rail, stop with all these little girl boxes and put a real rail up.

Honestly, they never have rails and when they do their either tiny or just not fun.

I agree, the DFD is easily the best.

yah but it sucks, i was there yesterday. two jumps that both suck, you cant get enough speed to clear the knuckle. a flat box and a butter box that both suck, super sticky. a rainbow rail that can't possibly be hit on skis. and last is a down bar that's alright, slides ok, takeoff could be better.

I never had a problem clearing the jumps, you just can't hit anything else in between. Was doing the small jump, big jump, to hip gap without a problem. One night we got a few inches of fresh snow and it was suuuper slow and we still managed to make the landings (big jump was a bit tricky though)

maybe you guys need some wax or something

how the lighting in the park, i'm going on wednesday night and want to work on my spins, will i have trouble spotting my landing in the dark?

Not going to lie, its pretty shitty. The lights are facing away from the park if i remember correctly.

and its mad icy. Not the best for trying new tricks on unless you want to have some seriously bruised hips and stuff

I heard that since that competition they had there is a new downrail, but no stairs because they can't keep big features because of skiing in schools or something like that. Anybody know how good this rail is? I really don't feel like buying a pass to be disappointed, and where is the dfd?

the down rail is shitty and sticky, but fofos best fetures as of no, but with no park staff it will not be maintained in the spring, on a better note fofo is the place where i landed my first 900.

"The park is closed for the season" quoted from there facebook group, well it's an end to one of fortunes worst park build in memory.

Anyone know if hectevite still has snow, thinking of hiking it for some late season turns. i've heard that it usually has snow on it well after Fortune closes cus its in the shade.

seriosly, thats sick. I'm seriously considering driving up and checking it out. its only about 20-30 minutes from my house so not that far.

^^^^^^^ did you go? If you haven't and you are can you reply back if there is anything left cause I wouldn't mind bringing a p.v.c out there to sesh unless there is one from last year that is still there I don't think they set it up in the park this year though..

I might drive out this weekend. Not sure yet though, depends on how much work I have to get done and if I can find a ride. But if I end up going I'll definitely let you guys know how it is.

UPDATE: I was there yestarday and everything was still good and there was only one rail and one small pvc its still fun.

That sounds so dope and there calling for 10cm of snow this saturday lol! Is it the green p.v.c from last season?

i just checked the weather for the weekend and its gonna be around 5 degrees and rain. lets hope it snows!

little stepover jump, down flat pvc and a flat box. it was absolutely packed today.

apparently Fortune is gonna be putting more effort into there park this year, including a couple of new rails.

oh boy, I'd stay clear of doing anything 'fancy' (like inverts) for the first couple weekends (only during the day Sat and Sun) once (if) they get a good park up.

i really hope so.

This will be first year riding fortune and from all the stuff i'm hearing, i sure hope they're gonna put more effort in their park.

^ I doub't their going too with all the rain we got the last couple days. Either way I wouldn't be able to go. I have summative due monday, and I have my NLS exam on Sunday.

My bad, i think i read the dates wrong on the site or something. Anyone know how much its going to cost, i might try and squeeze a couple hours in sometime this weekend.

^this. If they were to make a ton of money in the early season, they would see it as a good investment and try and open extra early.
