Official Camp Fortune 2011/2012

can someone tell me what features are in the park right now?

what are the jumps like? Why are they bad?

i would really appreciate any answers

top to bottom

-2 boxes put together

-tube rail thing

-small jump

-medium jump

-badly setup butter box

-some sort of broken canon pvc

-jump with tap barrel

-wall ride

and the medium jump is bad because there is no landing.... it's just flat...

Then how is it a medium jump? Doesn't sound like something I want to be flying off of with a good amount of speed.

actually had so much fun today. the box to box is sweet, the far round down bar is fun, the one decent jump is a great learning jump . the conditions on the mountain today were super soft and fluffy, no ice to be found.

Camp Fortune Ski and Snowboard Resort

Please note: the park will be closed as of Tuesday am until early next week. We will be taking out the features to blow snow for the full park build. There will be a set up at the bottom for the Fokus demo the Sunday and the Acrobag will be set up this weekend. Thank you for your understanding

bag should be dope this weekend! and i hear the full park will be the ENTIRE run not just half therefore weeding out a lot of noobs and such. and apparently there will be a sick new feature which is half a secret half not ;)

Yeah, I heard about this secret feature too, so stoked for the full park. What do all you guys wear at the hill? I've had too many failed NS callouts at fortune. Too awkward. I tried to ask these guys if they were on newschoolers, they looked confused and said "level 1?".

ill be up either saturday or sunday, wearing a red jacket, teal pants, white smith holt helmet, smith i/o's, yellow/black spks, yellow line dart poles, rossi s5 skis.

Give me a shout! probably skiing with two non park skiers

I wonder if the new park will be setup in time for Friday/Saturday night skiing?

i've got a night pass but avoid weekend days like the plague

Well to start i wear a red armada jacket and white pants, white helmet and most likely 4frnt switchblades. you'll see me at fortune most saturday/sudays, and edel any other time you can think of

Shall we make an official (regional(ottawa) ) "what do you wear" thread. or just a fortune specific one.

Anyone know if they've done anything like snowmaking to alexander (the side with the t-bar) or if it's still untouched?

Did anyone here drop their phone (witha gold sticker on the back) near the chairlift on pinaut? I returned it to a guy who had NS stickers. Was going to call him out, but didn't.

Ill be up every wednesday night for the next three weeks, white jacket blue pants. Anyone know what the park is looking like?

looking tighter than your sister right now. nahh just kidding the park isnt thatt sick yet, but its getting there. they got the airbag in its permanent spot finally which is a decent spot too! and they pushed up its on table to sit on too which means its gonna sit level aka no more sliding off the back/bouncing at 10000mph.

other than that they built like a smaller jump line thing where mini shredders can go so they dont cut accross the landing of the real jump lin anymore (thank god) as for jibs last time i saw it, it was more of the same since the last couple weeks....

Is the airbag worth it? I basically just want to get into the mental thinking of back flips being easy to do, as it is a scary thought for myself. I am going to be up Saturday night and sometime on Sunday- depending on if I feel like using the air bag or not.

^ do it.

Also, Trojan man and i are riding tomorrow during the day, feel free to say hi if you see us !

word. and yeah the bag is totally worth it for learning shit, not to mention straight up fun to huck a little to test your limits! :P

so they set up a tree bonk, it was setting today, should be ready tomorrow. also they put the long pipe back as an actual rail, with about 5 feet of snow skirt at the end.

So I landed a backflip my first 4 times in a row (only did backies 4 times) so I imagine that I could take it to the second jump with relative ease?

And + vibes to the freestyle team and their friends/ family, heard about it on the news and really bummed me out.

i suppose the second jump is the only viable option for learning them, but it's a little small. i would work them a bit more on the airbag. get used to tucking more if needed near the end to avoid under rotation.
