okay, so you either love black friday, or hate it. either way you see ads on tv, magazines, papers, and emails with all the deals that are going on. I thought that if you are looking for something in particular, and someone on ns has seen an ad for it, everyone could help eachother out in looking for that deal that we all want. so i made the thread.

post what you are getting and where you are getting a good deal. or if you know what you want to get but dont know where to find it, maybe someone can help you out.

i have work in the afternoon at a ski shop, so im gonna get up early and go a few places. im gonna need a laptop for school next year, and ive been thinking about getting a nice camera for a little while now. specifically what kind of laptop, i dont need anything crazy, but i dont want it to suck either. ill prolly edit some stuff, got a lot of music, so it needs to have good ram n shit, but not spending thousands upon thousands. ive never used mac, but ive heard good things and if i find a macbook (pro or not for cheap), then i might pick one up, but ill look into windows too. as for cameras, i want to get something to take shots for skiing, that has a good fps rate, atleast 5/sec, im thinking maybe a canon 40d. both items just depend on what i can find tho, not necessities just yet. anyone hear of a specific sale at circuit city/best buy kind of place that pertain to these items or anything like them, or even a first 100 people get 50% off kind of deal? im willing to campout if its a real good deal.

Haha gizmodo had a photoshop contest..

Wow hypnotoad on that circuit city ad, possibly the first time ive seen an internet meme on a mainstream ad~

Holy fail I only took a quick look and did not realize that was a fake ad. Christ I knew it was too good to be true~

dell is selling a laptop for 350 that if your using it to watch dvds, do word documents and surf the web is pretty fucking sweet. my computer nerd friend said it was a really good deal and perfect for homework and world wide web.

Well since my mountain hasn't opened yet, I will be hiking it and earning turns. I would buy some shit but me and my bro threw a rager on Friday, got noise violation for $250 and a fucking contribution to minors. We gotta get a lawyer and shit now, shits gonna be expensive as hell. Our parents are gonna kill us and maybe pull him outta school. So now im probably out a grand... FUCK. We didnt provide alcohol to anyone, but some bitch walked out of house as we talked to cops with a god damn beer and was underage. Fuckin dumb cunt.

Sigh, might be worst thanksgiving ever.

it sucks im going to be out of town. but a good way to do it is buy something, then go to walmart and return it for like 100 dollars more, good profit.

i would enjoy a discount on five dollar footlongs becasue that and a drink are the only things i plan on buying.

last i checked yours isnt doing so hot either chief. you might have better luck getting what you want in canada since the canadian dollar is 40 cents below the dollar.

i went to best buy yesterday in nyc and they had boxes and boxes of shit next to the item preparing for black friday, like next to rock band there were 100 rock band boxes, you basically couldn't even walk around in the store

i plan on spending most of my day in Sears, only instead of shopping i'm going to be a disgruntled cashier. Worked black friday 2 years running now, this will be the 3rd, and i absolutely hate it. 5:45 am is way too early to be at work

Here's some advise for anyone going into a retail store though, PLEASE, please be good to the employees. Don't expect them to be the nicest possible to you, because you are making them wake up to open the store about 4 hours earlier than usual, and most employees at retail stores don't make commission. So its really just a huge inconvenience

Supposedly Apple is having a bigger sale on friday then they've ever had before (economy, stock prices, blah, blah). I desperately need to upgrade my laptop, but I'm gonna buy it from a local mac reseller instead (they honor the same deals as apple).

Check out these guys: http://powermacpac.com . Their normal prices aren't always the cheapest, and their website isn't much, but they seriously make up for it with killer knowledge and service that you'll never get from a normal Apple store (especially for warranties). Ask for George and tell him where you heard it.

at the apple store like .a day early. at any were else, like .5days early and you should be good.
or internet stores mighthave good deals too easier thanwaiting for ever.

also did you get turned orange after that thread with t wall stretchin tall tees?

jk^
unless itwas...

I really have the feeling people will be looking for more necessities on sale then electronics. People have realized they need to be careful with the way they spend their money. This Black Friday will not be as crowded as most others because people have to conserve their money.

yeah, they told me if you get an authenticated picture with Tom you get auto oranged. They said my skiing had nothing to do with it but not to worry because it's horribly pathetic anyway.

I saw on the news that a district over here made repeat offenders of noise violation listen to Barney

I had completely forgotten about the Black Friday phenomenon when I noticed the ridiculous number of insert advertisements in today's newspaper, and remembered that this weird consumerist holiday is actually going to try to exist.

There are things I have in mind to purchase soon, both for myself and as gifts for the holidays, but I'm going to shop used and adapt my choices to the options that present themselves. It's better on my pocketbook and my sanity. Actually, I was planning on going to Home Depot tomorrow to pick up some axe handles, but I think I'll have to put it off just because of the potential rampage.

ryan.c: If you check Craigslist in your area, you might well spot a bomb deal on a used camera with a decent fps rate.

I'm not into buying stuff I don't really need, but obviously we could all stand to save some $$ these days on the things we do decide to buy. So if you've been holding off on ski or snowboard gear...

here's a little help from the Amplid dealer network: http://www.shopatron.com/index/650.1 Just be aware, stock is already getting pretty slim in most places.

yo E, skip the Depot for your axe handle and check the hardware store. Prob no crowds there, a lot less gas, plus you get the added pride of shopping local. Woulda given you my spare, but it broke. Building a nest at your new house?
