WOW. shit was sick. i had to work, so was only up for about two hours, but man was it good. pretty much just lapped challenger, faceshot after faceshot. not too shabby for march 30th
the only problem with andesite i had yesterday was the snow was def heavier down there than up on challenger. even though its only a couple hundred feet difference you could def tell
stuntzman's rock is the biggest cliff in the bowl, you can see it from the lift, which makes hitting it fun cuz people go nuts. when the snow is deep it's a huge drop. and the rock pocket is on the backside of andesite. anybody notice the clear cut of trees in the shape of a mushroom while you're driving up the mountain road? well the cliff band in that mushroom opening of tree's is the rock pocket.
flag me down sometime, ill take you there. endless pillow options.
^ well i'm pretty sure if we are talking about the same pillow field that you can alwasy see from the road and you drop off off that lone moose cat-track/run thing at the point where it turns and you have to hike back to lone moose from, we got freshies on that yesterday. me and two friends lapped it three times each and raped the fuck out of it so it coulndt have been that amazing afterwards...
naw, definitely not the same cliff's that you're thinking of off of lone moose. and no, the ones in the rock pocket you don't have to hike to, but be careful if you're mobbing through the tree's cuz the cliff band comes up pretty quick once you break out of them.
^ya i was working the tripple yesterday and watched these 2 dudes hit that thing about 20 times and one time this dude sent that thing prolly 60 or 70 ft with a huge front it was fucking epic!!! ahah and i watched pat send it to the first time he tomahawked that bitch so hard it looked bad and then he stomped it the 2nd time it was dope.
haha ya. it was fun, but those guys that hit it took it soooo deep. they easily doubled the size of the cliff. his bomb hole was further down then one of my complete tamahawks.
Im possibly coming to big sky over easter to shred some park and whatever else. What are the conditions like? Im assuming there will be plenty of snow with the recent snowfall. How is the park this year? thanks
I'll be in Bozeman Thursday through Sunday, probably going to Big SKy Friday- Sunday and Bridger on Thursday. I expect at least one person to ask me how to get to Chads.
anybody else loving the sunshine?!??
holy balls i got sunburned though, i have the gnarliest goggle tan in the making.
oh, and it's $10- at moonlight all week with a big sky pass... fun to hit some better jibs and then go back to biggie. (shhhhh, it wasn't advertised, but you can't beat $10- days)
