this whole big air comp has been shit for so many reasons...

1) 4 riders? Whats with that?

2) Shitty commmentating

3) Average jump for it

4) they end up doing the same trick over and over.

At least the final wasnt jacob vs. jon. That would have been 2 kangs vs. 2 kangs.

on another note. that whole 4 person bracket was wackkkkkkkk. there needs to be more people and run more like JOI (ha ironic). how it is now, you see the same tricks liek 6 times, i dont blame the riders tho.
 
the best part about the whole thing was that jon said the jump was a little small. They've got to build bigger jumps for these comps.
 
X Games medium sized air!!!! SICK!!!!!

Still more entertaining than womens snowboarding which is sadly more entertaining womens skiing, what a fucking joke. Still the snowmobiling was definatly the most boring thing on television. At least they let me know Shawn White was competing 1000x cause obviously I would have never guessed that HE of all people would be at the X Games

my favorite part, however, was when that dumb blonde reporter offered to "hold their poles" during the rocks paper scissor shoe (which is so lame by the way). what a shitty competition
 
Why the fuck does sal malakslaklalka say such dumb shit. He compared Jon to fucking Lebron James.

The commentary was so stupid, everything seemed like a joke. The whole thing looked so unorganized.
 
I'm pretty stoked they were referencing my article in regards to the Phantom with a ski rack. Remember kids you heard it first here on NS!
 
hahahaha me too. i legitimately fell asleep then woke up panicked that i missed the big air. it would have been worth missing... but it was nice to jon win, even if it was a joke
 
man, so far from not being able to watch any of it and having this thread as my only source of information, i'm pretty much back where i started from. All I can say is, I cant wait till Jon's Videoblog clears this whole thing up.
 
I hate Sal Mal....every year hes back. And Mike Douglas is annoying as hell too. And HIS vote counted? I thought it was a judge and the text whore mass of people that voted. Jacob and Jon should have had a show down of their switch 7 and flat 5. Those were so sick!
 
Jons gotta learn to do more than his Kangaroo Flip. Yeah its ill, but thats all hes done at every comp for at least the past year, seeing him just repeatedly do it put me for dumont the whole way
 
i was at work, so i didn't see any of it, but Jon won with ANOTHER kangaroo filp???? this just shows how lame this competition progression is: jon won with kang flips all season last year. what the fuck.... i'm pissed. so pissed. I can't wait to get to the Open and hold it down with STEEZE. fuck ya'all
 
I like your attitude. I thought the big air was a crock of shit. 4 skiers, audience participation on scoring, and questionable judging made for a complete waste of time. Simon got fucked over, Jon makes me sick everytime I see him ski, Gagnier got lucky with a silver and Jacob also got screwed over. Where is the real progression?? Fuck spin to win and anyone who condones it.
 
sorry, but dumont actually needs to learn how to spin two different directions before he gets my vote..

not to mention spin at least a 12.. Gagnier woul have beaten him easy... TJ would have outspun him an entire rotation..

and Yoon just dominates with how solid his kanga is..
 
The only problem with having it like JOI is that people, NS would think its unfair because it would be a replica jump of Jon's. Meaning he would have an advantage over somebody who wasn't invited to JOI.
