detroit. Why didn't you use fucking CAKE...

Also, Aiden, my dad grew up in Oakland before the A's were even there. He still likes the Giants, because for 10 years, they were the only bay area team.

And I give him so much shit for it, even though he's a real fan. Grow a pair and pick a side ;)

Damn. I don't really like Detroit, but my man Fister is the real deal and SO underrated. He pitched a hell of a game and got dicked. I used to watch him all the time when he was in Seattle, bummed he got tagged for a loss, but then again, he is pitching in the world fucking series and not for the lowly M's

oh i know what you were trying to say...

but 'The Town' is known as Oakland. Hence why many call it "Oaktown"

'The City' is known as SF.

Just listen to any 'hyphy' track for reference.

Detroit. Compltely flopping in the WS since 2006...

and now my facebook wall is filled with bandwagon riding fuckers again. Thanks Detroit for laying waste and then forgetting what to do once the real championship is on the line...

I was surprised that there were not many bandwagon people on my facebook feed....just a few cheering for the Giants cause they don't like Detroit (Twins fans) but I always root for the American League as long as it's not the Yankees.

Twins need to drop everything and start over, which they won't do....I see about 5 more years of bottom feeding in the AL.

Although admittedly embarrassing, SF is the new Vancouver?

"Police scanners described a group of as many as 100 rioters setting fires, smashing windows, throwing bottles at police and damaging cars. By 2:30 a.m. police were reporting that the rioters had scattered, and city crews were cleaning up"

100 people isn't shit.

Like I said, embarrassing, but those pictures are all from the same group of people on the same length of street. It's not like the whole city went haywire.

I understand there are team allegiances, but this shit screams bitter loser to me. It could be from the influx of Giants hate I've seen and it's just now getting to me, but statements like "most boring playoffs ever" are silly. The Giants came back from elimination games in both series prior to the WS, and then swept the "favorite" in the WS. Far from a boring post season to me. I have friends (most ex ballplayers) who root against the Giants all the time, and did through the WS, but tip their caps to a good team.

Get fucked (not aimed at you DingoSean, just people that can't handle the fact the Giants won the World Series)

I don't care that they won the world series. I get very annoyed at the influx of giants 'fans' who never sat through a single game at the stick (or who don't even know the Giants played there to begin with) and now talk shit as if they've suffered for as long as my father did as a fan.

Dude has told me about how he cried after the giants lost in 62 as a 10 year old, and eventually just became a legitimate fan of both the A's and the Giants, since he is from Oakland after all, but didn't have an Oakland MLB team to root for until his Sophmore year of high school.

And when this shit happens, it's pretty retarded. Call me on it, but I don't believe any fans of the Cardinals or Yankees ever rioted like this...

and... everyone gives Boston fans shit for their fanbase, but did any of their fans torch shit when they won? I'm asking this legitimately, not rhetorically.

No, but I'm trying to defend the legitimacy of the Giants being a great team. Not defend irresponsible fans sending ladders through bus windshields and what not.

They won, but based on 100 games of Melky Cabrera, and an ASG win with him being the MVP, it's still tainted. That's not saying Detroit deserves fuck all though. Awful showing by them, while the Gnats were hot at the right time.

i guess this should go in a 2013 thread, but i dont want to make it.
