i got a good laugh last night when i was watching sportscenter. all the leafs fans are going buck thinking theyre winning the cup cus they're 4-0. well the anchor said the leafs havent had such a nice start since 1993, when they won the first 10 games of the season, and ya, they didnt end up winning the cup lol

theres nothing wrong with it. i dont mind ppl saying "go leafs go yay leafs won im happy as fuck this is awesome" but i just hate how everyone is like "omg we won 4 games boys, the cup is in the bag for sure, all the other teams might as well just stop playing right now and save the embarrassment" which is what like 70% of leafs fans are saying right now...

dont worry boys, the islanders will hand the leafs their first loss on monday night. the kids will want to play well in front of their family and friends.
 
yo DP is looking pretty good this season so far. hes finally healthy for now(emphasis being on FOR NOW)haha.

and i was joking around but i would not be surprised in the least if the islanders won on monday night. bailey has played unreal so far this season. huge step up.
 
yup thats what we needed. win at home big win on the road vs philly with players like crosby gettin 2 goals.. teams better watch out for the pens when they get the wheel started.
 
When did I say they were going to win the cup? Leafs are far from a cup contender. However I'll bet anyone in this thread leafs finish on top of ottawa or montreal in the regular season. Leafs will finish 6th ish, Ottawa and Montreal will be battling for a spot.

Leaf fans are like that creepy dude at the party who hasnt been laid in months/years. I'm 21 years old and I've never watched a leaf playoff game and had a beer, because last time they made playoffs I was like 14. We're starting to lose are minds....

its 5 games into the season. id love to get super excited about the islanders start but i keep reminding myself its 6 games into the season.

but i understand its hard for toronto fans to do that when you havent won a cup since expansion.
 
The Islanders are going nowhere fast for the season. rebuild, rebuild, rebuild, shoulder injury, old fart in the goal.

Im loving watching the leafs games right now. Kessel is an exciting player to watch.

say what you want,and i am not expecting the islanders to make the playoffs, but this team is on the rise. the defense is far better than last year and the team is actually playing real well considering the are missing 2 of their best players.

how would the penguins look if malkin and crosby both were out for 3-6 months, how would the capitals look if Oveckin and backstrom were out for 3-6 months. how would the Sharks look if Thorton and Da Heater were out 3-6 months.

like i said i dont think the islanders will make the playoffs this year but to just write them off in October is fucking ridiculous. seriously.

leafs and rangers should be good shit again tonight. not gonna hold my breath on a leafs win considering how it went last meet up.

maybe avery and colby armstrong will go for round 2. that was funny.
 
some decent matchups tonight, were gonna see some good hockey i think. hoping the habs can pull off the W against the devils, they always seem to have a hard time against those guys, brodeur usually plays like a fuckin champ in MTL. but who knows, the devils havent been doing well so far. Rangers leafs game should be legit too, and im thinking caps bruins should be decent as well. wild oilers can be nice, lets see if the young guys can do work tonight. and pittsburgh nashville has potential as well. gonna be a good hockey night tonight boys.

and yo, the oilers jerseys this year are fuckin sexy
