Let's get this thread goin now that shit's finally starting up again. After taking part in Gnartron's playoff thread last season, I thought it'd be nice to have one thread going all season, where anyone can talk about any game, any team, any trades, etc.

I'm gonna start this thread by saying LOL @ Toronto.

Watching ottawa v toronto and cakgary v nucks pre season and its getting me super stoked. Im defs gonna get nhl 11 too. But Im calling Sabers for the cup. Not my team just a prediction
 
even after tonight, i bet leafs fans everywhere are still convinced they're winning the cup this year, which is hilarious
 
how do you habs fans feel about them trading halak and carey priceless being the starter. i find it quite LOL worthy. i think they will deeply regret the move.
 
i realize its a sell high deal. but really if i remeber correctly they didnt get all that much in return. we will see how it works out but like i said my anticipation is that the habs brass will regret doing it.
 
well see, thats the thing, everyone keeps saying that halak was worth soo much and they shouldve gotten so much more from him because he played like a champ in the playoffs last season. but if you look before that, he was just an average goalie, carey price too i guess, but they had to trade one of them for sure, and i wouldve kept price too cus i think he has more talent than halak. once he gets in the groove he's gonna do work.
 
halak also played really well in the olympics.

i dont know i just dont think price is that good. like hes overhyped. but i dont watch him day in day, but from what ive seen i was not impressed.

another point of it is that now halak is a playoff proven goalie which price isnt.

but oh well i guess in a few years it will be easier to judge how the trade worked out.

maybe san jose will get their heads out of their asses and actually play like a winning team in the playoffs. who knows..

im a die hard blackhawks fan.. and i want them to win.. its just that to much has been taken away. so i want my second team Vancouver. to go all the way.. they need one. and it be nice for the Northwest to have the cup for a year.!!!

i live in australia and last night when i was drunk i put 20bucks on anaheim to win the cupp next year. lets go anaheim i suppose.
 
So stoked. I love hockey season - many of you realized this after last years' playoffs haha.

I'm back this year... so are my sharks... and the Blackhawks are not what they were last season - The cup is ours...
 
Yeah... I can understand why you dislike Heatley... surely... I still think that was a dick move, and I have to cheer for the guy. Oh well... I'm forever in a bromance with Patty Marleau, classiest player ever, and Joe Pavelski = holy fucking CLUUUTCH and everyone knows that shit haha. So I'm pretty stoked on this crew.

and hopefully pete homie gets traded to a more legit organization before such a time happens (Ottawa would be nice - that shit's run well up there)

As for Getzlaf and Perry... iono dude... every night I see them they are usually playing pretty dirty or doing stupid shit.

Plus, they got totally owned by the sharks last year, and I doubt anythings going to change this time around... they're still carrying around Teemu, who... though he's always a great player... he's still 40 years old... an the rest of the team's pretty old too... They didn't really add anything new in the offseason. They'll bottom out the Western Conference again.. (although... theyre still probably a playoff team in the east... the Pacific Division is the toughest division in Hockey...)
