it would have happened if it won by the same people that did it since they lost. i saw people with masks which proves that they had planned to riot and loot before the outcome of the game. i was surprised at how badly vancouver dealt with the whole situation, they needed at least double the riot police down there

Wow. That's all I can say about it. Tim Thomas is a fkn BEAST and deserved that shutout. SO AWESOME for Patrice- the career Bruin- to get two as well. Awesome exclamation point on a hell of a series! Also awesome to see LeBrongo eat his words while Timmy T collected his props like the class act he is.

But I have to say it... All these Bruins fans getting beat up, stabbed and pushed off shit... What a bunch of fucking losers these Canucks "fans" are. I sincerely hope Boston fans have the class to NOT retaliate next season when Van comes to town... And after all the shit talking about Boston fans too, nice work up there. Higgens, die in a grease fire you fucking pussy. Hitting Chara like that is the ONLY way you will ever come out on top you fucking coward.

Feel bad for a few nucks like kesler who looked at times like he was one of the few nucks that really really wanted it, hes also a great player and stand up guy..props to a lot of the Vanc fans on here that are congratulating the bruins, must be insanely hard for you guys after such a tough series/loss but shows a lot class that your not throwin this win under the bus

someone post more pics of the riot. been hearing about it all morning on the radio but im at work so i cant go check it out online. lol, the guys on the dean blundell show this morning were telling everyone to chirp vancouver on their twitter and write #anal stain of canada or however that twitter shit works, and ya apparently that was the number 5 most popular thing ppl were saying on twitter ahaha
 
Also, dont be idiots all you pink hat bruins fans....vancouver was NOT booing thomas last night, they were booing bettman which is pretty much par for the course anytime he is in a public setting

They are a great hockey city and have tons of respect for thomas

**RUMOR** apparently a bruins fan was killed last night when he was pushed off a walkway/overpass by a group of vancouver fans **RUMOR** do not quote me on that because it is not confirmed, but a quick google search shows a lot of corroboration, i really really hope this isnt true

Well first of a all I guess a congratulations is in order for Boston. You guys won, and despite all the controversy this series you're going home with the cup.

Now, on to the riot.

I was next to the first car that got tipped, while there was still over a minute left in the game, shit just got FUCKED from there. No police presence was felt so people just did what they wanted. The 30 foot tall BMO windows took literally 20 minutes of people chucking shit at them to break, that's how little cops were in the area. They were always 1 step behind. I don't even wanna start the list of what I saw but the highlights (well really lowlights cause our city is now fucked), multiple cars getting tipped and burned, The Bay windows getting smashed and then the place getting looted, some tuxedo store's windows getting smashed, then people taking out a mannequin, putting a boston jersey on it and absolutely going to town, and riot police rushing a beating people with batons and shields. Note, i only saw the riot police ONCE in about an hour and a half span, their presence was not felt so people just went nuts. Also saw a lot of people with some gnarly bottle/glass wounds on their heads, bleeding a lot. Shit was fucked.

The thing I couldn't wrap my head around though, people were running around chanting "fuck boston" and then destroying Vancouver. Does that make sense to any of you? If you really wanted to show hatred for another city would you take it out on your own?

 
Overall i think Boston had a better series than the canucks. They dominated them at home and barely lost away. They deserve it, even though i would have rather had the canucks win.
 
Overall, i was very disappointed with the Canucks play and the way the fans reacted after the game. Officially 40 year virgins. Disappointment continues.

1) it's a whole lot more than a bruins v. vancouver game. if you've read any of this thread, you realize it also represents a USA v. Canada showdown. classless? i don't really care, because we just won the cup and made luongo look like a child. sorry bud, but i couldn't give two shits about your "class" argument consider your fans just burnt your city to the ground.

2) Tim Thomas worked his ass off to get where he is today, he proved he's one of the best goalies in the NHL and pitched a shutout on the biggest stage in the NHL. The guy has the most heart and class i've seen in a professional athlete in a long time. for you to dis-credit that because you're upset the Bruins won the cup is just absurd. technique? what the hell are you talking about? he's a professional goaltender, he obviously has solid technique. he's also aggressive as hell and forces opposing offenses to make plays. that sounds like technique to me.

stop trolling. it's not working. go back to looting, flipping cars, and robbing banks because your team got embarrassed in the Cup final.

I hate all Boston teams, but throughout my years on NS and watching threads like this develop, I've realized I hate Canucks fans more than any fans on the planet. It's like you guys feel entitled to the cup. Fucking earn it. You can't tell me that out of the tens of thousands rioting not one of them was a "true fan." You lost. lol....three game 7 wins - the b's are the first team in NHL history to do that in one series, sounds liek a pretty damn hard way to win a cup

Luck has nothing to do with thomas setting an NHL record for best single season save percentage the league has ever seen, nothing to do with his 4 playoff shut outs in this stanley cup run, his 1.15 GAA or his .967 save % against the nucks in the 7 game series

You might not like his style or technique, but you can't argue that it works
