Official 2010/2011 NHL Thread

I don't really care what anyone's opinion of the man is. Bottom line is he is a MAJOR part of our PK and defense. Better passing than most on our team as well. He's just a little extra glue that helps our team perform so much better IMO. We'll see how much he gets played tonight.

Interested to know why you hate him though.
 
i don't hate Pronger, i just hate playing against him.

He's the type of player you love to have on your team, but hate to play against him.

I actually like him, he's really funny and i love how he handles the media, definitely one of the best d-man to play the game

And theres nobody I hate listening to more than the Boston announcers..

But props to the B's, they held it together well.

new hockey commentator? i think so. ill take kyprios job, he knows nothing anyways and would never listen to him

Nailbiter for philly last night. Glad Boucher could hold on.

Next up is the Caps tomorrow and I got cheap seats for the game WOOOOOOOOOO, nosebleed drunk section here I come. We're thinkin about making large paper signs to try and get on camera hahaha. Should be a great game to see at home.
 
omg, i was in tremblant this weekend for college/uni weekend. i remember pre drinking at our hotel and watching the montreal game while keeping an eye on the toronto game. went nuts seeing montreal win and toronto lose, got chirped by my fellow mac students....even met a girl from NY at the bar that was a rangers fan...smack talk ensued

The only thing that is worth watching is the skills competition. The actual all star game is quite boring to watch in my opinion, I always find them dull...
 
Game was fuckin great last night. Got there late and walked through the gates right as the horn went off for the first goal. Cheap seats we had were as faaaaaar up as you could go, but honestly you could still see the game really well. Crowd got a little heated and nervous when we blew the lead, but the place just exploded when meszaros scored.

Yeah, i wish they'd do team Canada vs the world or north america vs the world. Itd be much more entertaining with the americans and canadians vs the swedes, Russians, etc.
 
thats what the olympics and shit are for. it would be impossible to do this as an all-star game, it would be a shit show
 
Anyone hear this cool story?

Nittymaki was injured and placed on IR during the sharks' morning skate... and they didnt exactly have enough time to pull any guys up to Vancouver from Worcester or any of their other minor league teams...

so they just went to UBC, told them, give us your best goalie, gave some guys tryouts and some dude named Jordan White got a one day contract to sit on the sharks bench in an NHL jersey.

Could you imagine how crazy that shit would be?

One second you're playing college hockey games sitting on the bench with nobody over the age of 22 or 23. The next second youre taking pre-skate shots from thornton, heatley, and marleau?

shit would be such a change of pace.

Also great job to the sharks to REALLY turn that game around against the nucks. I actually stayed up listening to the whole thing on nucks radio to see if they were gonna stay neck and neck with us in the standings. Way to pull out a win san jose, what the hell did you end up with like 50 shots on goal???? Niittymaki doing some serious work back there for sure.

Should be a fun weekend with the devils and blackhawks, I'm really looking forward to that game next week against the habs though.
 
Wooo leafs won a game.... Grabovski is so hot right now.

Its so sick being on the west coast now, I can watch hockey from like 4-10.
 
Oh and a huge HAHAHAHA to the penguins losing at the hands of the devils oh man that must hurt. Did I hear em say that both crosby and malkin are out though??
 
Kesler's a fucking beast. Too bad the Flyers didn't nab 'em when they had their shot.
