Just another bruiser on the line really, I hardly see any skill from a lot of our D. I've seen worse sucker punches, dude had to have seen it coming and decided to just block it with his eye.

Terrible terrible game, right from the get go too. Nucks totally took us to school for sure. 8 day break blah blah, no pronger blah blah, whatever the excuses are none of em are good. We still have trouble passing the god damn puck, some nights we're hot and others we look like damn amateurs. Doesn't help that we're half way through the season and we still don't have a goalie that looks comfortable back there, hell bring leighton back I guess :/

Its amazing how a team(the caps) can go on such a long losing streak and still only be 3 points behind the leaders (pens). the Caps could easily take the lead in a week.
 
its amazing, how a team with such raw talent, can continue to suck so bad year in and year out in the post season.

I was at the Flyers game last night, Nucks skated circles around 'em. After the Florida debacle, I'm just hoping they get their stride back in LA.
 
Hope they get something going on, it's like watching a whole different team than two weeks ago.

Thank god for west coast games though, I'm gonna work til 10:30 tomorrow and I can still catch the game.

Crosby has been in at least 3 more NHL fights than Ovechkin.....further, unlike Ovechkin Crosby actually backs his play up.

Ovechkin's a punk who I used to like more until I realized he's a selfish player who I'd bet never wins a Cup, nor particularly cares to.

 
as does Ovie equally as much, Nobody is stopping Ovie from challenging Sid in open ice, yet we have never seen it.....hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm????
 
i see Ovie NOT dropping his gloves(fake fighting aka trying to draw a penalty if Sid dropped his)...and actually Sid gets the final push in and Ovie just stand there.

Why didn't he drop his shit and try to fight right then? When they were face to face(was ovie trying to kiss him?)? Where's your EXCUSE(god the crapitols are full of them) for then? Ohhh...because he never intended on fighting....he was simply waiting for the refs to break it up. Which is exactly what happens in the end of the video.

They'd slap each other like bitches for about 10 seconds, and slip and fall on the ice together like most non-fighting hockey players do...

They should just shut up and let the real fighters do the dirty work...
 
yo i was sad to see crosby's streak come to an end. that kid is so fuckin talented it's ridiculous

and the leafs end up shipping kadri back down to the minors lol. people keep saying theyre stupid for trading their draft picks but you know what, they obviously dont know how to deal with young players so it wouldnt have helped them anyway

Leighton with the shaky start wow. At least our offense stepped it up a notch. Loving the briere, richards, jvr line. Penalty kill and defense in general seems to be majorly lacking without pronger in there.

Hopefully we can bring out that same intensity tonight against the ducks and take another win.
 
Yeah that first goal was rage inducing. But you know what? He stepped it up later (after the second goal) and the Flyers looked like they've got their stride back. Richards jawing it up was hilarious too.

They REALLY miss Pronger on the PK.
 
Why did Maxim Lapierre get traded? Totally unnecessary, the team isn't doing so good these days but we should stay calm. Continuously changing the team won't help the team at all, it will lose its depth.
 
looks like they're focusing on defense, which i think is a good idea. looks like the wisniewski(sp?) trade was a good idea. however, it hurts my heart to see one of our few french canadians go, and i thought lapierre played well more often than not so that sucks but im down for some good d-men for once
 
that was fuckin beautiful, i love goals like this, every pass was fuckin perfect. that sauce through the slot was gorgeous
 
Nice to see the flyers take detroit last night. Holy shit carcillo got another goal, I'm always surprised when he does anything productive really. We need pronger back in a bad way. I'm thinking I like the look of boucher better than any of our three goalies.
 
also warm weather is really taking a shit on our pond hockey scene. So is the neighbor that came out bithing last time we were playing at 2 am or so. Ice is still there though and seems to be still in good shape so we're just waiting for it to be a bit colder consistantly.
