Officer candidate school (after college)

currently im a junior in college studying business analysis

i've always had an interest in military service

seeking some information, reviews, ideas, from soldiers or family members
 
Join the ARMY, I also plan on doing so after college. My neighbor is an Army Ranger, so sick.

My friend also just joined the army straight out of HS. He doesn't mind it.
 
Join the Air Force, we put way more money and attention into our people than bullets and toys. The Army treats it's people like shit in comparison.
 
Definitely do not do this. The way the military is going right now with the draw downs, budget cuts and withdrawals from combat zones, it's a terrible time to join. Bonuses are non existent right now and even getting the job you want will take a while.

Now the officer side is a little different, you make more money and get a lot more say in stuff but you do exponentially more work (paperwork).

What do you plan on doing in the Army?
 
just infantry most likely. I'm only a freshman in college at the moment, we'll see how I like college (community college lolz) might even join the army after this year if I dont like college, maybe make a career out of the military?

Hate all you want haha...
 
I would join the air force if I could fly, but I didn't do ROTC and I only had a 3.1 GPA (at least it was in a science). So I can't.

So I won't.
 
I know, I've seen you say it before in threads. I was saying don't hate not because the fact I want to join the army, but because i want to join AFTER college.
 
Been in the Air Force just shy of three years. Let me know what you want to know about the military man and I will help you out as much as possible.
 
Coming up on 2 years in the Navy here, it's rewarding and all, probably would've gone Air Force if I could go back. PM me any questions if you want.
 
Sisters fiance has been in the Navy for a couple years too, he's stationed in Virginia Beach, my sister just moved down there :(

Seems like there's a lot going on down there, but I would hate to be stationed in VA, Washington is the perfect fit for me.
 
Joined the army in the midst of college. Was 22. Still in. I'm an nco now. When I get back from my 4 month camping trip in Kuwait my wife and I leave for Germany.
