yeah i just built a rail in my back yard and i used plastic decking board...it slides great. all u gotta do is wet it to get it to slide alot.
 
i just found some free sheet metal at this warehouse, can it be used for box topsheet? how can you cut it? how can you protect agaist its sharp edges?
 
i tried to do that but i cant turn on astro turf so i went into these muddy rocks and kinda wreked my skis

that is a true summer setup if i might say

some kids at our school brought something like that in (george forman grill) and cooked hotdogs in teh back of class without the teacher seeing...
 
i would also recommend investing in a pickup truck because you can use it as your dropin with a piece of plywood out the back...

Ok, some of you guys and girls are saying that you should drill up from the bottom to the PVC.

If anyone you know has the proper equipment do this.

1. take you PVC pipe and cut 1in or how ever big your board length is.

2.Make sure it can slide right in. Or fit right on top of the board when the board is on its side.

3.Caulk your PVC to the board.

4. Make a slot on a big board (that is lying on its side)

5. put the pvc pipe with the baord attached to it and slide it in.

6. Nail it, and your done.
 
does the carpet slide without water and soap??? because I dont have enough place and I want to do it somewhere else

alright if this has already been answered in the thread let me know cuz i didnt feel like reading the whole thing. but last summer i made a 20 ft. flat rail with 3 1" PVC pipes and astroturf. it was all fine and dandy but after like the 10th hit the pvc started cracking where you landed on it. it wasnt like a huge drop to the rail it was just enough air to spin a 270 on, but the rail just started cracking and chipping off and eventually was unusable. anybody else have this problem? any suggestions on how to fix it? i want to try it again but dont want to be wasting my money.
 
No I havn't and beleive me dweezil is a bitch to the rails. He did take the end of one piece out I don't know how though. It wasn't from landing on it.
