Offical Summer Set-up Thread!

It could break but it hasn't for me yet. 4 rails later they are all still working except the one I beat to shit and ran over with the 4 wheeler.

ok, either i'm explaining it wrong, or your a dumbass, or maybe even both.

in the actuall screwing the pvc pipe to the wood process, is there a certain way to do it (drill slow, fast, thik screw, thin screw, etc.) so as not to dammage the pipe. in other words is pvc brittle(for instance you can't just screw glass to wood)

Seeing how I've built a few of them and they are all working obviously it doesn't crack. You're not cool calling me a dumbass when you are the one who is retarded. I answered your question.

Like I've said before, try it and if it works great, if it doesn't change what you're doing. I didn't need any help from people but maybe thats because I know how to use simple tools and have a bit of common sense.

dont plan on using pvc pipe unless your a begginner. If your gonna spin on or switch up you'll catch an edge for sure. Use steel pipe or flat stock, its not that expensive, and it wont ever break...

Ive used everything there is to use, and i love steel, the rust sands off and a lil wax and your ready to go. I also have a box, i used HDPE that i specailly ordered through my construction company. THey wouldnt even sell it straight to me. I really like the way it turned out, and it werks great.

DONT MAKE THIS MISTAKE, when using wood as a rail platform you cant screw down PVC, lexan, or anyhting else TIGHT. This will cause the plastic to bubble, wrinkle, and crack as the wood shrinks and expands. tighten all the screws by hand rather than running them in with a screw gun. You can Even drill out and counter-sink the plastic if the goods you are using are expensive.

haha. yeah. we wanted to make it some gnarley color. we decided pink over lime/neon green, which we later regretted, but its still ill, i think

i did it and it didnt work but i think we did something wrong cuz a lot of people said it works great

christ erich, get off your high horse bro, youre always so cocky about shit. the rail is dope, even though it kicked my ass, but you act like your the godfather of rail building when you still used pvc. pvc does break when it gets too cold, its happened to me many times.
