well obviously I'm sad the pens lost... but I can't be disappointed too much considering they were 29th team in the league 2 years ago, and theres actually a season ticket waiting list for the first time in franchise history. This team really is doing a lot for the city in general. I actually talked to adam hall at the bar tonight and he bought me a beer (claim). but he said its been one of the best times of his life and he's just sitting back enjoying himself waiting for how shit pans out for next season. The locker room has been really tight and nobody really wants to leave. But they know that it's inevitable for some of them.
I have a lot of faith in the pens organization with GM ray shero and hockey ops mike yeo. To tell you the truth, I wouldn't be surprised at all if they signed Hossa, Fleury, and Staal and made a huge deal for Malkin at the trade deadline next year. As much as I'd like to see Malkin stay I feel like, given the cards in the deck, it would just be too hard. He's definitely looking at a 9 mil contact. And I think they could sign hossa for around 7.5. Cause lets be honest too... Staal isn't exactly a 3rd line center. So he could move up to that 2nd line.
Good season pens.
