OFFICAL NHL PLAYOFF THREAD

for anyone that says the pens almost scored at the end, the time was definietly out before hossa's stick even touched it.

WOOO THE CUP IS BACK IN HOCKEYTOWN!

Detriot is a hockey dynasty right now...but they are old and its going to crumble soon...

very true, and both goalies are on the edge of retirement. And all there swedish superstars are gonna start wanting raises when they get in the open UFA market. As will alot of players on that team, they're gonna have a hard time staying in the salary cap with that team in years to come.

i would cry prolly why not its just emotions. im sure mad other players cried and im sure some detroit players cried to so are you gonna call them a bitch. either way it was an awesome series pens got out played the wings passing is to crisp they dont mess up. pens need to make some key signs in the off season and if we get a few we should be looking good for the next few years.

yeah, considering they won't beable to probably hold onto all there FA's/ UFA's. Hossa will probably go to, he's a free agent and with the cap raising...he will shop the market!

thats to bad because hossa already said he will take a cut to play for pittsburgh because he wants to play for a winning team. watch the news dawwwg.

well obviously I'm sad the pens lost... but I can't be disappointed too much considering they were 29th team in the league 2 years ago, and theres actually a season ticket waiting list for the first time in franchise history. This team really is doing a lot for the city in general. I actually talked to adam hall at the bar tonight and he bought me a beer (claim). but he said its been one of the best times of his life and he's just sitting back enjoying himself waiting for how shit pans out for next season. The locker room has been really tight and nobody really wants to leave. But they know that it's inevitable for some of them.

I have a lot of faith in the pens organization with GM ray shero and hockey ops mike yeo. To tell you the truth, I wouldn't be surprised at all if they signed Hossa, Fleury, and Staal and made a huge deal for Malkin at the trade deadline next year. As much as I'd like to see Malkin stay I feel like, given the cards in the deck, it would just be too hard. He's definitely looking at a 9 mil contact. And I think they could sign hossa for around 7.5. Cause lets be honest too... Staal isn't exactly a 3rd line center. So he could move up to that 2nd line.

Good season pens.
