and the one thing i noticed that the wings are doing is playing as a team they are making passes and scoring. while crosby and his entourage is just taking up the ice and trying to do it themself.

exactly, crosby is like a "system" quarterback! Can you imagine him playing for anyone in the old NHL? If they wouldn't have made a penalty mearly touching someone with a stick, he would've gotten no where!

Alot of analysts made the statement post playoffs about the Sharks or Av's being the best shots to take the West, If you want to revoke Barry Melrose from being able to be an analyst from the NHL, then I'll be happy to stop posting, but since he was actually a COACH and a PLAYER in the NHL, i don't think I would ever say he should stop what he does.

No one would've picked Edmonton to go to the cup finals a few years ago. You can make predictions all you want and usually will be wrong. Its fun trying to create an analytical picture. I root for a team, and against teams. Everyones been wrong. Does it mean you lost the right to post about Hockey when the Penguins don't win the cup? Since I remember you earlier posting they'd sweep the Flyers, which they didn't, and win the cup? And they probably wont.

Anyways as far as Osgood. He's a great goaltender, but really he was a backup to Hasek most of the season, and I think he was when he played for the Islanders as well. And we all know that Detroit doesn't have the best goalies in the League, but they play a great shut down system. Thats why the Pens cant score. Because the fall over as soon as they get touched with a stick and all try to play like Kobe Bryant.

Call it what you want, but even your coach is being a little bitch now. Therrien is bitching about the series not being evenly called and diving against the red wings? Please, try watching your own bench first. The Pens are getting beat because the Wings are flat out the best team in the whole NHL.

Your right I did think they were gonna lose early, thats because of how they looked the prior few years between the first two rounds against low seeded teams. And they proved me wrong. And I hope they beat the Pitsburgh Bandwagoneers good tonight!

 
Saying you shouldn't be able to post was a little much, the point i was getting at was how youre acting like you've been calling this shit from day one. You said the wings weren't gonna go far, and once your team was out you grabbed on to the wings nuts. and then you and many others call us Pens fans bandwagoneers..... kinda hypocritical. I was born a Penguin Steeler Pirate(Unfortunately) fan, my whole family is from The Burgh, I am FAR from a bandwagoneer.
 
I'm the farthest thing from a wings fan, infact I'm a Flyers and Av's fan. I'm more than anything a hockey fan though and enjoy watching a great game. When i say bandwagoneer, i'm usually kidding. lighten up. So I'm enthusiastic, who cares. I made a prediction I was wrong. In all honesty i'd rather see this series go to game seven and see game seven go into a greulling 11 OT's but I don't praticularily care for the Wings, being as I'm an avs fan there is some bad blood, or a Pitt fan, being that I'm a flyers fan.

I'm not supporting the wings, But they truely are the best hockey team right now, and more than likely will win the cup based on how they've played to this point.

if i had to lose to anyone in this playoffs it would be detroit. the only guys i don't like on that team are franzen and holmstrom.

everyone can be at peace now. and move other teams fans karma up from zero...
 
I'm with you on Holmstrom, but i do like Franzen. Holmstrom is a thug, but i feel like Franzen is a really smart player.

But i really hate Hall Gill no offense, but pittsburgh is playing some DIRTY hockey tonight. Pitt, got away with alot of cheap crosschecks, trips behind the play and several boardings as well. You Pitt fans should feel pretty happy the reff's listened to Therriens whining!

you see the thing is.... the penguins are fucking good... may not be playing as well as the red wings obviously but lets think about it kid... they are in the stanley cup at the moment....

everyone knows they have a strong team.... so discrediting their ability, like im sure you have, is completely absurd and just makes you look like you dont know hockey.
 
yeah they're also in the eastern conference. Which incase you didn't know, isn't as competetive or as physical play as the Western Conference.
 
bingo. and we still posessed the puck the majority of the time and outshot the penguins.

nothing in comparison to getting shut out the first two games, we barely even lost the third.

let me remind you that, while theres no arguing the superiority of the western conference, the penguins went 8-1-1 against the western teams they played this year. and its not unreasonable to assume that they would have beaten at least 3 or 4 of the central division teams. so basically your point is bullshit.

I'll I have to say is that no one plays to win the conference final. After this series all Pittsburgh will be will be the biggest loser in the league, they went so far and then failed at the very end.

How can there be a cross check AND a diving in the same call?

Well if you were watching that play it didn't matter the play was 4 on 4, the reffs could've easily have called the Pens player for goalie interference considering he was still hacking at osgood after the whistle. And that when he stopped he sprayed the goaltender intentionally.

Also if your gonna go to the net to look for rebounds its "KNOWN" that your gonna get your shit rocked. When I played in AA Bantams I was only 5' and would go to the net and get clobbered and no call. I didn't complain, I wasn't where I was supposed to be, I'd do the same for my goalie. And a dive

Don't you mean why do the refs favor the Pens and we're still losing the series?

Your basically making yourself look like a whiny fan for no reason, like the Pittsburgh coach being a little bitch as well. All the penalties WERE being called equally and fairly tell the last two games. In game one the penalties were fairly even with Pitt taking just one more and watching the game it was a very fairly called game from the point of view of a neutral fan.

Game 2. Was called fairly the whole time, and VERY few calls were missed. The reason the penalty numbers were so lopsided was because Pitty was playing from behind and frustrated, and it showed, they took alot of dumb and unecessary penalties.

Game 3 and 4 Coach Therrien becomes a whiny bitch trying to make an excuse for why his team was down 2-0.

Ok so thats a blip about how its backlashing or will backlash on him. Why because everyone watching knows why detroit is winning the series, of each game the possesion of the puck looks like this Det 50 MINUTES . Pitt 10 MINUTES.

And missing obstruction calls on detroit? Please fucking hit yourself in the head with a shovel Therrien. Watch your own bench diving all over the place like a bunch of synchronized swimmers. Not to mention a TON of obstruction calls for some reason that were missed against the Pittsburgh Geese during the last two games after Therrien made those comments. Detroit doesn't "obstruct" they do what you call, BACKCHECKING and have 3-4 guys back every time the pens come up the ice so it is often that whoever has the puck will usually give it over.

Did you see the 5-3, please both calls were questionable at BEST, the later being more realistic. Did you see how Zetterberg played Crosby on that play? Want to know why you don't see that replay more often? Because all the cameras in the building are looking down on Sid the Kid, how do we know? Ever notice how there like "Oh look how good Crosby is" they always show some sort of replay from an off angle of Crosby doing something. Crazy. So Therrien if a smart defensive play is what you consider an "obstruction" you may be right. But your not, and you may as well throw your speedo on and start joining in the rest of your diving extravanganza.

If Pittsburgh really has any shot at winning this series there players have to stop taking dumb useless penalties, like when Fleury could've easily grabbed the puck with his glove and freezed it he bats it out of play? Whats the point? Same with all the crosschecking and stupid plays Pitt made in game 3, even though they luckily survived that 3rd period.

If I were Mike Babcock I'd be asking the officials to re-evaluate how Pitty is playing! Know why he doesn't? Because he's professional and seasoned and knows how his team plays, and they don't need to "whine and dine" to win the stanley cup.

You absolutely do, I was watching it on a small 15 " tv from an Antenna and it sounded less Staticy then ever!

but ya i wouldnt say the officiating is one-sided, just inconsistent. both teams have gotten away with cheap shots, and both teams have gotten called for bullshit penalties (like goaltender interference). and both teams are embellishing and looking for calls, i guess its just more fun for you 'neutral' fans to call out the best player in the league and talk shit on the team that sent yours home early.
