Off the Grid was pretty gay

the great thing about warren miller shows is you always get free stuff when you go, like lift tickets, toques, shirts, skis, etc.

His movies are too much like a documentry.

That guy doing the world record for the cliff drop was sick but warren miller needs to change his style

 
thats what its all about, its kinda like a documentary about skiing showing people what its all about. He covered it all, bumps, BC, east coast, west coast, newschool, everything.

I thought it was a Sick movie, very good footage, the HD looked awesome and I thought it flowed together with the commentary very well. Sure, it asn't a newschool movie like LSS or Skimatic or somethin, but it was still great in its own way.
 
I definitely have to give Warren props as the guy who created the genre back in the day. That being said I don't like the majority of what he puts out now. His movies usually have a couple of good big mountain segments, stuff like Kreitler and Black in Alaska, some decent Seth Morrison footage. Not my favorite movies, but who cares. I'm not going to rip on the guy. Any snowboarders who think skiing is lame because of Warren Miller movies are gay, and probably don't spend much time on the mountain. It's funny that I never seem to get any boarder attitude at Squaw, only flat places.
 
yeah warren miller pretty much invented action sports videos. and he has been doing it long before we were all born and even before most of our parents were born. He was born in 1927!!!!

but now that he was bought out and isn't involved in them any more their beginning to suck.
 
To bad warren does not do the movies any more. He was at least funny. Our local show gave away crap, no tickets, but our ski areas are cheap, cheap, cheap, cheap. Sponsored by REI (Really Expensive Inventory) they gave away stickers.

The movie was the same as the last 5 years. Not everyone has the money to go heli skiing. IT was a big long ad. I went with the 19 guys from TTN team and we brought along noise makers so we could at least have some fun
 
he wasn't bought out. he's passed the company down to his son. he isn't involved as much anymore cuz its his son's business now.
 
Warren's films are like the only ones where skiers travel to places in Europe that no one has ever heard of and are really poor, and the moutains and skiing are epic....that adventure alone is worth the ticket...to see outside our isolated world
 
almost all of you are idiots. I used to hate on WM so hard, but then once i pulled my head out of my ass, and got rid of any newschoolers bullshit pretentiousness, and actually tried to enjoy the movie,and it ended up being sick. Park skiing is such a small segment of skiing, and really no one outside of newschoolers gives a fuck about it or will. Warren Miller captures the spirit of skiing and inspires more people than Idea, High 5, or 1242, thats the way it is. All the warren miller hate is immature and so severly ignorant.
