Off Axis Spins with Grabs

I know there are a lot of "which grab is best...." threads, but in this case the idea is not to personally get to know which grab I should try.

We are developping a guide for jumps and tricks, therefore it would be great to get some feedback on which grab fits best with which off axis jump.

This is meant by what makes the trick more easy and at the same time what maybe looks best. It should be in a realistic way, cork 7 octo will definetely look awesome, but is out of reach for most skiers as well!!

So here is for example what I was thinking about:

Flat 5 - japan (helps getting flat position)

Flat 5 - mute (easy grab, gives trick a different look than japan)

Basically suggestions should be 2 per trick, nice if leading or trailing is named as well

Here would be what I would think about:

Cork 3 - double safety / uncrossed mute

Cork 5 - mute / tail

Cork 7 - safety

Flat 3 - critical

Flat 5 - japan / mute

Bio 5 - mute

switch cork 5 - mute / critical

So would be nice to get some answers on favorite or ideal combinations, maybe explaining as well why it is ideal.

We can then build in the best combinations into our guide,

Thnx

i would say high safety is even easier than mute in a flat spin, really about the same as doing a japan.

i think tricks like cork 7 octo would look sick, and it isnt completely out of reach for skiers. If any tricks you pick out of reach, it would probably look sick, and it would help with progression anyway. And if you could get anything with a screamin semen, that would be awesome.

Maybe you slightly misunderstood why I am posting this!! The guide I am talking about is not supposed to force people do something!! But to make people get some more creativity in their style and help them develop more creative tricks.

The fact that you do whatever you want might indicate that you are able to do a huge variation of grabs, so it would maybe be nice to share some information with others.

And if you don't care what is written here....then you maybe beter f..k off and do something else than reading this thread!!

But you are absolutely welcome to give some advice on which grab/spin combo to start first!!

cork 3 double safety

cork 5 tweaked safety

flat 5 safety

flat 7 mute

I think the future could be multiple grabs per air, and smooth grab transitions.. are people doing that yet?

russ henshaw does them quite a bit. i think unless executed quite well they wouldn't look so good

Mute to japan is often done and looks pretty good as well. I think one of the sickest grab swaps is stale to high safety. That looks so dope.

Also, I've been wondering this for a while now. What do you call a critical pulled to mute? Is it just critical or just mute or something different?

Thanks, I'm super inspired with what is possible.
