# of skis you own

well my friend just bought his 6th pair of skis.

A. How many skis do you own?

and

B. Does anyone else think that 6 pairs of skis is too much?
 
i own 1 pair that are actually ridable on snow, and one pair that i can use for urbans and summer setups. I dont think six skis is too much depending on where he lives, what he skis, and what the skis do (park ski, big mountain charging, powder, backcountry jib, all mountain, urban).

Either Jpvsjuliens for big mountain/powder or nordica enforcers

and now I have chronic wides for park/crappy days.
 
3 pairs.

6 yeah prob too much. but who cares? i wish i had 6 pairs-screw that i wish i had one of every kind. that would be cool
 
i will be getting my 3rd ski sept. 1st. :)

but one pair i still have from 2 seasons ago and ones from last year.

i still ride em all equally its fun to switch it up a lil bit.

07 fisher addicts-park

05ish line 1260-park

08 line invaders-park

k2 silencers- urban

04ish vokil 6 star- all mountain

04ish line darksides- havent been used in over a year

and actually hes got like 00 fisher all mountain skis that havent been used in about 3 years.

and we live in the east. so we dont see much powder, on the days we do he could use the addicts

1 pair park skis mounted

soon I will be adding 2 more pairs, at which point I will not be buying any more skis for a while, hopefully.
 
I have 4 skiable pairs of skis. One pair are my urbans and they are sooo trashed and have no edges, they are tough to ski on.
 
1 pair of thalls NEW CONDISH, can't wait to ride, un mounted

1 pair of heavily used Fujatives, mounted. Good for my teaching and dickin around at my local mtn.

why the fuck would u need 6 pairs?! sounds like a racer...would be cool to have 6 pairs thou
 
I ahve two pairs of skis, one pair of fugitves and one pair of shit backyard jump in lake skis:)
 
Urban - Park - Pow - Slalom - Giant Slalom - Downhill

You could add more to that list too. Racers tend to have loads
 
three. a pair of super short rossi GS skis, they're like three years old, a pair of super super super short rossi slalom skis, they're four or five years old and a pair of ex-demo shitty twin tips probably four years old. most of my friends who race own at least four pairs of current skis to race on and a pair or two of skis to goof off on. six skis seems a bit much if you don't race but i dunno.
 
I own 4. I use 3. the fourth is an old pair of rossi's that i used before i had twins. 1 is for the backyard rail, 1 for park, 1 for pow.
 
6 really isn't terrible to have if you have the money, why not spend it?

i can see different park skis cuz of flex. stiffer flex for big jumps and noodly ones for butters and such. and a strong edge one for rails

then you have a pure pow ski, and ice ski, a all moutain ski. so its possible

if you are counting like pairs of skis i have in my attic and shit from over the years its like 10 or 15. but right now i only have TM's. but this year i'll have ARVs and probably another park ski. so three by the end of the year
 
here's how my skis are lined up:

Ninthwards for park, rails and preseason and shittyness

ON3P fatty jib for park and mini golf pow, as well as BC jumps and all-around BC ski

Made'n AK for generally going fast and ripping on mediocre days

Hellbents for pure pow skis, big rip days.
 
i have 3 but i only use on pair

I won the rossis on 2 seperate occasions cuz im such a speed demon.
 


Really he has 4 pairs, I would say the 1260s and Darksides are useless, along with the old all mountains.

I have 4 pairs

06-07 ANT unmounted

05-06 ANT any day unless it hasn't snowed in a week or more

04-05 Dynastar 8800 early season and hard snow days (88mm waist)

01-02 Rossi Bandit XX rock ski
 
^there is no way you own 12 pairs of skis. thats not possible to ski 12 pairs in a year. unless you ski each like 3 times a year
 
2 boards.

one for urbano

one for everything else aka (park and rails and i can slash pow you dont need a dif board to slash pow, people think they need these things to help them do better) use what ya got

all you need is one shredstick or pair of skis for the mountain and maybe a shitty something for urbano

05 fujative: park and groomers

03 volkl v expressions: urban(soon to be deceased)

05 Scratch FS: back up park/urban

08 bacons: pow and groomers
 
salmon pocket rockets mounted

soon im getting cr johnson pro models 

rossignol scratch fs sprayes retired them so not using em

so basicaly 2 pairs scratches will be good for an item on my wall in my room
 
The skis that i have mounted and i actually use are:

06/07 line invader

06/07 line chronic

07/08 line chronic

07/08 line anthem

then in the fall ill be mounting up a pair of bacons maybe and some chronics so ill have 6 pairs.

 
i have 3, scratch wrs (park), t-hall (urban), ANT (big mt), i wish i had one or two more pairs, but i cant justify them yet, once i move out to colorado ill get on those, im thinking bacons as BC jib ski and volkl wall as an everyday work horse
 
well any ski my dad mounts is also mine cuz we got the same boot size so...

1260s not useless at all he uses them only once in a while in the park and still uses his vokls, and basically only uses his addicts for groomers and few jumps ( i dont know why he wouldnt just wreck the park wit them)
