the skiers don't get paid by the film company, they do however get photo/film incentive from sponsors for being in the films.

How much do ski movies cost in the states? Here in europe they're like 35€ wich with the €-$ change now is like 45$... Lets say they take an average of 40$ per movie. If they did sell 50000 it means they earned 2 Million$. I don't think those movies cost more than 1 million $ so They do make a profit since the skiers recieve the money from their sponsors, not the producer. And probably companies put money on the movie too.

Plehouse Redtape was only 18.99. And it was the best movie that is made.

thats a lot of fucking money. seriously, even for a core company. im sure most of the money goes to pay for plane tickets, helicopters, the money to buy/use the private session areas, press passes. and im sure the money to cover them(actual personell of the ski company) to live in the offseason. they rely on that one DVD to get them through to next year. so when u add it all up, i guess they dont make all that much.

Timboskier you are on crack. I'm sure Rage sells 50k, but realistically:

MSP couldn't give away 50k movies. While thats probably the number that they claim they sell (to sponsors, media, etc), its WAY off. Divide that by two, take away another 10k, and then you have a fairly accurate worlwide sales figure.

TGR is even worse. They were saying they sold over 75k copies last year. Turns out the Jones's just got real high and were about 55-60k off! Whoops!
