October shredding in Tahoe...

i cant wait for the first snow. cant wait for the first day my home mountain will open and there will be only one rail with a bit of snow a lot of kids destroying that rail all day long =) soooo stoked ! im kind of tired of arena snow and dirty landing with mud.

there's a little bit way up higher on the peaks, but down at lake level there's none.

where were you guys riding?

gotchya, was a dope little edit, i personally went and hiked the kirkwood back country, unfortunately, didn't get to film it.

they already tested there guns, now they are just waiting for more cold temps to start getting ready to open.

So max a couple of weeks?

I've bet the price of my first lift pass with a friend that i'd be skiing before November 24th.

Gotta be doable right?

target opening dates

Northstar - Nov 19

Heavenly - Nov 18

Squaw - Nov 23

that's all i know for now, I imagine alpine will open around the 23rd as well.

Boreal is usually the first to spin the lifts

Looks like its gonna start dropping into the low 20's at night this week at Boreal, Hopefully they can get things started up!

it's definitely starting to cool down a bit... i mean even when you walk outside right now, if you're not in the sun, a hoodie isn't a bad call.

but yes... low 20's at night this coming week.... looks good

mmm this week is looking promising. some serious cold temps coming into the sierra's at night. mid to low 20s. they can make snow at 38 degrees as long as the humidity is low, but realistically, they won't blow snow until about 30. the low temps this week are low to high 20's at lake level, so at the higher elevations, there's certainly a chance to blow some snow, it's still going to be in the 60's during the day though, so, not totally sure if it's worth it yet.
