Hey guy thank you for you interest! Yes the web site is up and running and you can find it at www.gcjibfest.com its a little slow so be patient but all you need to do is sign up as a member just like newschoolers. And the rail will be sweet and definitly not just flat. Be ready for a crazy one that will be smooth yet stylish if you get what I'm saying? Thanks Gigger

sorry lads and gents. the rail is (are?) a secret. the setup this year will be awesome Atomic and Salomon are sponsoring it, BMX sessions, BEER tent, BANDS BANDS BANDS, vendor/sponsor tents, afterparty sponsored by burton and spy. Off the hook. you'll want to be there if you're competing or not.

well if they let everyone compete, there would be too many competitors. the level of riding is pretty high too, for the snowboard divison you basically gotta be semi-pro to get in...the competition is tough.

hey guys. im flying home just for the event.... haha ya right but i will be there.. i need a ride back to caledon east.. id phone all you guys back in ont and ask but im unemployed and whistler has drained me of any funds but to use the net so common guys i need a ride back down airport rd. hell maybe even to hwy 9 and the 400.... im flying home for my moms operation but its a surprise so i cant ask them to pick me up...

bring your skis, you could probably have my spot in the comp, my feet are broken (the dr. said no skiing for another 8 weeks)!!!! anyway i'd be able to give you a ride to hwy 9 and 400 for sure!!!

 
nope cant bring skiis. im bumming it in montreal first and i've got too much to fly home. im just bringing my skate and watching, shitty about the feet. we're going to have a tramp sesh too...

yes. we did have an Amature division last year, but that was only for snowboarding not skiing.

we're not really advertising it as an amature comp, but we still want to keep it 'local' and allow for riders that aren't sponsored or known to come out and grab a spot that's why there are 10 wildcard spots.

and sorry alaina we can't really let people give up their spot to someone else, there are just too many people in line for an invite.

we can't really be giving out spots because we're already about 13 people over our original plan of 60

congrats to all the sro students, the comp went very smoothly. jam sessions were a great idea. thanks for puttin on such a fun event in the begginning of october.
