Obsethed?

I'm looking at the 189 cm K2 obsethed cuz i can get a good deal on them. I'm looking to use them for all mountain/ powder. I live on the east coast so there isnt a whole lot of powder but i do go out west several times throughout the winter. Im 6ft nd 220lbs nd my only concern is that it'll be to soft for me. Plz give some input on these skis!

Just brought mine home today so have obviosly been playing with them a bunch. They seem soft in the tip and tail but relatively stiff underfoot. Not to helpfull i realize but as it is october i have not skied them yet so i cant say more.

when i flexed them in the shop they were neither stiff nor soft. mine should be coming in the mail in the next week or two.

depends what you like dude.
mine felt great in all conditions and never go to squirly on me. however i am only 180lbs.
if you like softer skis you will love these(im not saying they are a soft ski i am just saying at 220 they will feel like a soft ski to him!)
id categorize them at a medium flex not to stiff but you can still butter them and play around (rocker helps alot!)

granted, im only like 155ish, but they are a ripper ski. they are great freeride skis, and they ride pretty solid on groomers. the tips are soft, but underfoot is decently stiff. if your gettting a good price on um, buy um, and if you dont like them, you should be able to sell um for what you paid.

ya at 220 your going to find the obsethed a tad on the softer side, but if your up for a softer fat ski its perfect for you

nope def way to big for the eastcoast i rode them aroun for a few days so unecasary unless on a great pow day

Yea true I'm from Australia and my friends got Hellbents there just mad to screw around on like in the Park and Shit but he has the money to get a pair of Hellbents for Park.

do yourself a favour and dont get hellbents.
if you think the obseths are to soft already the hellbents are going to be a NOODLE.

Yo, I rode the obsetheds last year, i'm 165lbs had the 179...and live east coast. They ripped groomers and were sweet in the trees but on bigger stuff out west I had no confidence in them at speed, I think I would have liked the 189 a bit better on the steeper stuff.

Don't listen to the guys who say it's no good for the east. I found my size awesome for everything around here but liked I said it suffered at speed out west. In deep snow it was glory but in the chop a little soft for my liking....hope that helps.
