You'd have a very tough time doing that at 20yds.
Anyhow... Do you really think taking away peoples guns is anywhere near Obamas priorities? Murrica likes guns, Bama won't take 'em away. And would it really crush anyone if you couldn't own a handgun anymore? I understand that hunting to some people is like skiing to me. I don't understand people who think they are going to defend themselves with guns.

All leftist governments at some point or another try and start taking away the peoples guns.
They do this because they want bigger government and basically to have more control over peoples lives. Look at Cuba, do you think the average Cuban owns a gun? You've got to be in the army. When Chretien was in power in Canada his liberal government put in gun registration to "Keep Track" of gun owners.
The governement realizes that more control often pisses certain segments of the population off and they can never make everyone happy with the policies they make. So the more left you vote the more they want to take away the peoples guns because they want more power over their citizens. Eventually, in the case of North Korea the government and military end up doing whatever they want, same with Stalin's russia. If the millions of Ukranians he starved to death had guns it might have made his life much more difficult.
You guys voted in a socialist president claiming to be moderate. So it's only natural that in due time it will be on his agenda to slowly weed out gun use. Higher restrictions, taxes, small bans etc....

That being said... I would like to see the US require every citizen to complete a firearms safety training course (similar to that required for a hunting permit). I realize that it will probably never happen.
I'm a gun owner myself but have absolutely NO respect for anyone who is irresponsible with their weapons of any type. Gun ownership should never be treated as something to boast about or display power.

It cracks me up that so many people are up in arms (...sorry) about the possibility of the second amendment being revoked, for three reasons.
1. In this time of world wide economic crisis, shifting power structures, dwindling energy, wars in the middle east, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, THIS is the only thing you have an issue with? THIS is the only thing Obama cares about? Get a life.
2. The administration that has been in office for the last 8 years, has taken away more freedoms than any other administration has, in the history of this great country. Remember when righties were giving lefties shit for opposing the Patriot Act? Your administration (the same one that preaches freedom and limited government) has put in place restrictions on pretty much everything. Yes, even guns.
3. In the history of America, what democrat president has ever tried to write the second amendment out of the constitution? (... seriously ... if anyone knows of one, tell me. And how did it work out for him?) My point being, that it's not going to happen. As long as America is America, Americans will have all the rights guaranteed to us by the constitution.*
Get your heads out of your cold-war mentality asses, and let's ALL try to do something productive to fix the shitstorm we're ALL in.
On second thought, if the only way you can help the economy is by buying more guns and ammo, then so be it. But please, for the love of God, buy american made.

i take it you have read the obama/biden urban policy plan? it lists making the clinton assault weapon ban permanent a key factor that is just as important as decreasing the high school drop out rate or improving masss transportation. yes, "banning guns" is not the title of any official obama policy. but it appears obama is sneaking in new federal antigun laws under his plan to improve urban prosperity. also biden introduced a bill to the senate last year to renew a more invasive version of the clinton awb. so, you may say biden doesn't care about it, but he included it in his own proposed legislation, and therefore i care about it.

national firearms act. 1934. FDR.
gun control act of 1968. 1968. LBJ

do you honestly think that any president will try to take away the second amendment? No, of course not, that'd be suicide. they will do it slowly, restricting things, taxing more, harder to find, more expensive, and then sooner than we know, no guns. it will happen with guns, it will happen with a lot of our other individual freedoms. it has happened already.
i hope obama supporters have it in them to get their head out of his ass and watch what he is doing carefully, because who knows what he has up his sleeve. (and this is not excusing bush from what he has done, nor am i ignoring it. but i am a lot more worried under obama.)

we (NS) all registr in key states, with high electoral votes, then when brian williams is doing his election night show he will be like "wait a second.... the media isnt controlling this election, what the F%@K!!!!!"
first order of buisiness would be spending as much possible $$$ on reversing global warming, then we tax burton and all other skier discrimination companies lots of $$$, and we would spend that money on building mountains in the plains so everyone has a chance without driving hundreds of miles to ski.....
then if crime still exists we could make the felons do sh*t jobs, while the 50,000 dolla a year spent on them would go straight to the NS members, so we wouldnt have to work doing the sh*t jobs......
