Obama on vacation.

scientists need to get hold of lax_bro's brain and examine how the human brain can get so fucked up. We might learn to eradicate these brains at birth. haha

I don't want to get into this argument I just want to say a few things. I'm going to just say that Obama didn't keep alot of the promises he had in his campaign. And MOST(that doesn't mean all) of you are democrats that don't know the first thing about politics. And yea it's probably hard to be the president and he can't change things with a snap but he did promis change and it hasn't changed so no matter how cool of a president you think he is, he's not doing what he said he would. And for my view on polotics, I think that being a democrat slightly leans alittle too close to communism where the government kinda controls everything where republicans are more based on what America was founded on, eaning your way to the American dream, not geting taxed the shit out of so that you get given free health care.

but see thats so contradictive, you say Obama hasn't tried to change anything but when Obama does try to change the American health care system to a universal system people get pissed because it 'Un-American', despite the rest of the developed world using universal health care because it is MUCH more cost effective, I really don't see how you can argue otherwise. People say they want change to better America yet they aren't comfortable accepting ideologies outside of the states so how can they want change? PS universal health care is socialist, not communist.

I think its kind of ironic how you call people uneducated just because they have a different opinion than you, but ostracize me for being the same way.

Obama can't do shit without congress, so until congress actually starts respecting the checks and balances, I really cant see Obama being on vacation as the issue. Right now congress as a whole is acting like this- "Oh, republicans proposed it, fuck that!" and "Obamas a nazi, nope, cant vote for that!" both sides are just plain unacceptable. Washington needs a massive update of people, and a better mixture of parties that reflect more views. A lot of this could be avoided if there were were 8 or 9 different parties, instead of just 2. There would be more grey area where shit could actually get done.

Now I need to go take everyones karma, because thats how NS politics works. FUCK YAH 'MERICA.

pfffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffff.ostracize

I've been reading and sort of following this thread, but making a point to stay out of it. This post, however, deserves a huge..... WTF?! How old are you little dude?

Okay let's start with the positive side: you're right Obama didn't keep his promises. The main reason I wouldn't vote for Obama right now if an election came up is he has only set a hesitant date to withdraw from Iraq and Afghanistan. To me, his main foreign policy campaign was pointing out our mistakes in the past (a correct point-out) yet only exacerbated them by sending more troops in. Makes his nobel peace prize look like bs.

As for everything else, well not good. You can't look at politics between Republican and Democrat. Not only does it show that you have a specific bias that you cater everything to, but it shows a willing fulness to ignorance. Also I don't think you understand what communism is (only the American school text book version). In order for you to ever be considered serious when you talk about these things why not read the communist manifesto to see what communism actually is. I'm not defending it or advocating it as a solution to the world's problems by any means, but I at least understand the concept, why it became as it did, and what Marx was thinking.

Also, America wasn't "founded" on shit. These are just drummed up nationalistic ideals that never really existed. Only because the average American doesn't understand the trials and arguments of the founding fathers (or basic history) do people get away with saying things like..."the founding fathers made this a Christian nation" "the founding fathers sought to have little government". The truth is the founding fathers often contradicted one another. In the most famous case Hamilton and Jefferson. There wasn't a set ideology and the constitution was left vage for many reasons. Hope this helps!

Men can't come up with ideals in which a nation was formed, its something that is just engrained in their society. An example would be immigrants coming over for a better chances at a better life. How did they go about this? By working their fucking ass off and fighting for something they wanted. Where is this work ethic now? Go to any state building, do you think these people work hard? Do you think the majority of welfare recipients work hard? We have lost some ideals that once made our nation great.

We also lost the ideal of slavery, banning women from voting, interrupting kids from working in dangerous places, making it so regulations are put in place to not have people work in life-threatening conditions. You have a nationalistic perspective and detached from reality on the issue.

None of those questions are relevant. All you are trying to do is the same thing people stirred up your emotions with to block actual logic. Instead of asking them why don't you put fourth and argument that isn't made of pre-determined talking points like welfare slugs, bureaucratic government inefficiencies, and assumed characters of the people in 1776. I'm not going to argue lazy people leeching off the system don't exist, they do. I'm not going to argue inefficiencies in government don't exist, they do. What I am going to argue is that it seems you only have a very outside view of a very major issue. So if you would like to say something other than the typical unfounded statements that get thrown around Washinton every day then I'm all ears. If not, then kindly stop.

unfortunately, that was nobody's choice but your brother's, so your argument isn't that great.

weren't you the one saying you were going to join the military? if you're upset about the current situation, why would you choose to support it?

i would stay away from political arguments; they don't go so well for people who lack logic & general intelligence

His point was those ideals arent set in stone. Its not like all the founding fathers had one cohesive vision for the country that everyone believed in, there were disagreements about a lot of it. For example, you can't just say, "this country was founded on small government". Some of the founding fathers believed in that, yes. Others didn't.

Come on, Brantford_W, just tell us your original SN. If you are a supposed old member, it would help to put a "face" to all this outrageous shit you say.

My first account was assassin167 then i forgot the password.

Yes it was his choice, and the best one he has ever made. I simply stated that refuting his argument that we were pulled out of iraq.
Yes I am going to join, later than I had hoped, but im not dropping out of school. Im not upset about the current situation which is why I want to join.
Your right, my lack of intelligence is why my grades are so awful. Just because I make stupid comments on an internet forum that does not mean shit, doesn't mean im incompetent.

Yeah, if I'm trying to figure out whether someone is intelligent, thoughtful, etc., I just pull out their high school transcripts. Fool proof. I've never known anyone who got great grades who was a fucking moron. Wait...

I can't believe you had to argue with me as two different people.

Still better than Rick Perry will be. He's racist as f***. He says the N word in this video:

So far, President Obama has taken 61 vacation days after 31 months in office. At this point in their presidencies, George W. Bush had spent 180 days at his ranch where his staff often joined him for meetings. And Ronald Reagan had taken 112 vacation days at his ranch.

Among recent presidents, Bill Clinton took the least time off -- 28 days.

this is from cbs, which i'm guessing you don't believe (based on no knowledge of cbs' political stance, just a hunch) but ya
