Ok so let's review. The more conservative side of this thinks that he is a hypocrite because he is taking a vacation. They also believe that higher taxes on the upper class will not bring in enough money to make a difference. It would in fact bring in $700 billion dollars over 10 years if the taxes on the rich were raised at the suggested rate. So if $700 billion dollars will not have a positive impact on the deficit or the economy, then the $1 million ( and that is a massive overestimation) that Obamas vacation costs should be so insignificant that it should not even cross your ignorant little mind that that will negatively impact our country in any way. And do you also think other presidents didn't take a shit ton of vacations? Bush took 250 days vacation and your beloved Reagan took off 335 days. So why does it matter if Obama takes a couple weeks off? Do you really think that Obama is in complete control of gas prices, the stock market, and our country as a whole? He really can do very little without the help of congress, and that is how our country was founded. So the lesson is to think before you speak.
 
Touché, he did bite off more than he could chew with that slogan for his campaign but we did finally get out of Iraq, eased tension in some countries that we've had troubles with and other stuff. So his term wasn't a complete waste. The real problem with our country is the two party system. The only thing people in congress care about these days is keeping up with their party's agenda and fuck everyone else which gets our country nowhere but backwards.

also you have a very short term memory. The tax cuts on the rich from the early 90's and the mobilization of our technology and middle class to china starting in the 1980s caused the recession, it only began to precipitate this quickly because of BUSH JR's WAR IN IRAQ AND AFGHANISTAN.

Going to his ranch and Camp David to get out of DC isn't taking 10 days off to go chill on MV. Obama should be calling congress back into session and trying to work through some of our many problems.
 
My point is that the economy wasn't in bad shape, we werent fighting a two front war at the time and he could afford to take time off. Its all obamas fault the economy is like this, but in such dire time I think his concern should be with the American taxpayers well being, not body surfing off the Cape.

What do you Teabaggers expect from the guy ? Even if he wasn't on vacation you would be bashing the job he is doing actively in the oval office. Keep in mind a president is ALWAYS working, via briefings and conference calling. God forbid he spends some quality time with his wife and kids like a normal family-man . Ummm...9/11 had just happened in Bushes first term, he DID deploy troops to Iraq and Afghanistan, and he DID still take vacations. You are shitting on Obama but in all honesty if McCain was to be elected we would be in a lot worse of a situation. im not saying he shouldn't take a vacation but anyone who thinks he has done anything to improve the american economy clearly knows very little about economics. you might not understand now, but just a couple of years... the amount of debt / inflation he has caused cannot just disappear.

HOW HAS HE IMPROVED THE ECONOMY? do you not watch the news? DOW Industrial and the S&P are fluctating daily by over 400 points. Last time things like that happened was 1929 and the stock market soon after. Im not saying its all obamas fault, but some of it is. Whether you want to believe it or not he signed a bill bailing out failing banks, gave extremely large bonuses to CEOs of these banks, has not pulled us out of war (actually added 50,000 troops which is what bush wanted to do), and his main campaign goal of obamacare failed. he has done nothing positive what so ever.
 
1. The DOW and TSX where worst in 2009. The markets were volatile for months on end. This volatility lasted a week. Markets ARE NOT an economic index. GDP is, stocks show you the confidence in the market.

2. The first Bank Bailout was proposed by the Bush admin. This was voted against because of lack of rules. The second passed because banks were all going bankrupt. The second bailout was a fail because the CEOs took off with the money. The third bailout passed under Obama because of the inefficient plans the banks and companies came up with.

3. The US could not pull out in 2010 because no plan of engagement has been successful and the UN could not let Iraq without occupancy.

4. He accepted the attack on Bin Laden's residency...something Bush never did after 8 years of searching. So Obama did do something.

Obama is not the cause of the political and economic instability. That was cause by the american elite, backed by US citizens. Obama inherited the problems, and he cant solve everything in 4 years...8 either so live with your fellow citizen decisions. Dont ask what your country do for you, but what you can do for your country!
