would you bow to the emperor of Japan? how far up the political hierarchy does it go before an American doesn't, strike that, shouldn't have to show respect to another country's head of state?

Americans don't bow to monarchs period, especially the fucking president. I don't give a damn what the political hierarchy does there, that's in Japan. A handshake is respectful enough, and the fucking guy didn't bow to Obama. How is it appropriate for a US president to show subservience to an "emperor?" however titular his power may be, it is still disgusting.

sometimes diplomacy isnt about proving you are better than every other country. You need to show respect in their way, just as the japanese emperor shook obamas hand. Showing a little humilty makes them like us better. Get off your high horse. And if you are going to talk politics, how about soem examples rather than vague bullshit arguments you have been posting.
