Obama and Romney

Contrary to what corporate news outlets and corrupt politicians tell you, there are actually few differences between Barack Obama and Romney/Ryan. It doesn't matter who gets elected, because both will screw the country in the same ways. They will both expand government and spending, they will both increase the military industrial complex and continue to practice interventionism and neo-conservative foreign policy, they are both looking for another war whether it be in iran, libya, syria, egypt, etc. they will both take immense contributions from private interest groups while doing nothing to keep money out of politics, they will both crash the economy by accepting Keynesian economics, the current role of the federal reserve system, and continue to use tax dollars for malinvestments, they will both praise ben bernanke and reappoint him. Neither candidate will significantly lower taxes enough to actually improve the economy and bring jobs back to America. Neither candidate will dismantle the IRS, audit the fed, or audit medicare/medicaid. Neither candidate will support civil rights and liberties, as they will continue to add provisions to the patriot act, uphold the ndaa, continue to support legislation like sopa, continue to fund and approve of guantamano bay, use of executive orders, and unconstitutional drone strikes. Both candidates would move government away from the constitution and continue to make government less and less transparent. Neither candidate will address the disaster that is the war on drugs, racial discrimination in the american justice system, or america's growing and out of control prison system..... I could go on and on.
so keep getting fooled by the democrats and republicans kids

It is actually pretty easy. all one has to do is read about each candidates voting records for their entire political career, compare past speeches with more current ones, and unplug your mind from what you read about in Time magazine or watch on msnbc. Instead of getting all riled up over a stupid campaign, observe what they actually do in congress, or write about in their books... not what they say when they are standing in front of thousands of people and cameras. It is also helpful to do some reading on websites like this: http://mises.org/ and read books like this: http://raymondpronk.files.wordpress.com/2010/04/tom-wood_meltdown.jpg

Because there haven't been enough political threads in the past week

your welcome for turning your thread around

I am a fan of a limited but active government that is based strictly around the constitution, sound monetary policy and austrian economic principals, sensible foreign policy = peace, freedom, and individual liberty.

wow man shut the fuck up. you must be the millionth person on this site to say romney=obama while jerking off to the constitution. unoriginal and not convincing anyone with your rant backed up by...nothing

why do you people post this shit here when probably over 95% of this site either can't vote or is still dependent on their parents.

There is one sole thing to blame for this and that is the two-party system. If there were a way to chart the efficiency of a political system than this would look like complete shit. One could also blame our current economy on this lack of efficiency because what it does is cause uncertainty in the market and that prohibits people from investing. If there is one thing we Americans should be debating than it should be bout how to restructure the political system because it is an a state of entropy right now. So any of you guys got any ideas?

If you take a look at the multiple party systems of some European countries, you'll realize that our two party system isn't as bad as it may seem.

whats wrong with jerking off to the constitution? I find the constitution to be pretty attractive in more ways than one. The truth doesn't have to be original or convincing... why do you think that politicians have everything so backwards? why do you have a soccer picture next to your name, when 95% of the people on this site don't give a shit about soccer? But anyway, since your calling my statements out, i'll call yours out just the same. How are my statements wrong, what are the differences between the candidates on the major issues, and what makes you think that we would be better off with romney instead of obama or vise-versa?
I guess your to ignorant to see the truth in my statement, so I have to provide this. You can click on the links in the claims and they will lead you to articles that suggest the original statement's truth. Also, this is a good video that pertains to the subject:
1. Barack Obama and Mitt Romney both supported TARP.2. Mitt Romney supported Barack Obama's "economic stimulus" packages.3. Mitt Romney says that Barack Obama's bailout of the auto industry was actually his idea.4. Neither candidate supports immediately balancing the federal budget.5. Take your Fantasy-land libertarian/monetarist bullshit, and either jump into oncoming traffic, or shut up and continue to work on the Ron Paul shrine you keep in your closet.

What about domestic policy, you fucking nincompoop. People are fucking crazy, and will do crazy things if you start to dismantle public services.

Ludicrous government cuts (King Ronulan promises 80%) = Chaos, systemic failure, panic, violence, social unrest, civil war, tens of millions of dead Americans.
