i like oakley's ski related stuff, especially goggles
 
i dont know if that was intentional or not, so im not make fun of your Engrish skills

let me elaborate,

Oakley is not played because they make the Crowbar, which IMO, is the best pair of sunglasses ever made. They look better than those douchey Oil Rigs or Gascans. Amazing sunglasses, especially if you use them for sports.

And Oakley's ski stuff is solid too. although a tad overpriced
 
im glad oakley isnt really played where i live, all i really see is a bunch of tools like mentioned above who have gascans
 
Yeah i never said i didnt like oakley...if i did i would be a hypocrite since i have goggles and a jacket of theirs...i was just saying i liked when it was more exclusive to us as skiers and wasnt a household name to everyone else
 
they're played alright, just look at there clothing, they don't have the creative mind to come up with something better than a neon yellow suit that they recycled for the past 4 years
 
oakley is now played? dude oakley has been a huge company for years, and skiers are only a small fraction of the people they make shit for
 
this is sooo true!!!!! i was stoked that there was now an oakley store in my local mall because i love their products, so i picked up a few things within its opening week. but now oakley is so played in my area i hate when i see other people wearing the same shit as me no homo. my friend said its a temporary store though so hopefully this will only go on for a few more weeks.
 
True but half the kids I see in frogskins are hipster fags as well trying to be "ironic" with some oldschool style shades.

I'm actually probably the only person on this site who doesn't have anything Oakley... It has nothing to do with this whole 'played out' factor... it's more that I just have gone with smith and other brands for my optical needs. Oakley sure does make quality shit though...

and I work in a ski shop where I can get oakley stuff on proform... crowbars cost me like maybe 45-50 bucks. so now it just makes NO sense haha.
 
Brand loyalty, I know a lot of people rockin smith who love oakley and people rockin oakley who love smith as well, but once you've invested into a few pairs of goggles from either brand, its hard to cross over. It's wierd, I would love a pair of smith I/O's, but I have had a couple pairs of c-bars and love em, and just knowing that I have something that I already like and works creates some sort of buyers block for me haha.
 
we don't have an oakley store. However, if we did i think 99.9% of n00b snowboarder/skiers would have crowbars on my home mountain. which would be annoying cuz there sick, until everyone that can't make it all the way up the jump has them.
 
Whats wrong with people learning to ski wearing c-bars? They perform just as well for a beginner as a pro.
 
we have a Vault a few hours away from me but I am still the only one around here that wears oakley on a regular basis. I must admit though, I am such a brand whore when it comes to oakley and was wearing all their shit way before the Vault came.

I like there reading glasses, goggles, tees, and coats but I don't really like their sunglasses all that much, as odd as that sounds.

Very true, I'm sure I would love Crowbars or Splices...but I I get a big enough field of vision through my Fuses, and if I want more I can upgrade to the Phenoms or I/O's.

However, I am absolutely in love with Smith's sensor mirror. Best all around lens, hands down. Especially on cloudy, EC days.
