Oakley

I think they are nice but people have been saying thier quality is has gone down. I havent seen the new stuff so I dont know could be a rumor I guess.
 
i tried on a bunch of the new shit and the quality felt fine. Ive heard that rumor to that oakley is shit gear this year but i think it all looks sick and that the quality is just fine.
 
haha, no you probably won't tear anything trying on a pair of pants. However, the quality IS poor. If you want it get it, but if want a pair of pants for two or three seasons, do not get it.
 
yea true but the material felt durable enough compared to the bonfire pants i have now and theyve lasted me two seasons... idk i think theyd be a good investment
 
Oakley has some of the worst quality I have ever seen as of late. They used to be the most bad ass and sickest stuff around but now they just suck. lots of tears and rips, zippers jam and break, not to mention what little waterproofing there is wears out fast. Combine that with the fact that it is some of the most expensive clothing out there and you just have a loser of a combination.
 
^I really cannot agree with anything you wrote man, I ride with alot of Oakley products both lifestyle and skiwear and I think it's good quality for the price I pay.

The design is top of the line, in my opinion.

Oakley is still up and runnin' !
 
The quality of Oakley outerwear is definitely on the decline, at least this year and last year. I mean their stuff looks cool I suppose but the quality/price ratio is not good. Some of their top end stuff with 15K waterproofness is good, but most of their other stuff isn't worth buying really. Like Xavier said, Oakley used to be the most badass shit ever, but not so much anymore. If you can get it cheap like from tramdock or from a Vault then go for it, but don't pay retail if you can avoid it.

Damn, I have a 3 year old Oakley coat that I got last year and it's 20k/20k and the material on it is just way better than their new stuff, super sick coat.

But if you want some really tech coats or pants try DNA or Spyder, or even 686 or Sessions make some good stuff.
 
no matter what quality it is $450 for a 20k shell is not good quality for the price you pay. How can you possibly say they have good quality when they only have one jacket in their line this year over 10,000mm of waterproofing. Yet they are still charging the same as companies that have whole lines of clothing that is 20k and 30k. Also the amount of Oakley Outerwear that I either see, or comes in Ripped or torn, is way more then any other brand.
