Has anyone else seen this? If they didnt make sick stuff I wouldnt support them anymore, Sponsering Lil' Jon??? WTF???? rappers have all the godamn money in the world they dont need free godamn sunglasses, give it to an athlete who actually worx hard for very little. Somewhere along the lines, the company lost something.

Dude, come on. The only reason sponsorships happen is so companies can expose their product. They don't care if Lil' Jon is an athlete or not. As long as they can use him to advertise the product. Regardless, when people see him wearing Oakley people will think 'man those are sick' and go buy a pair. Thats how it works.

Most of you are retarded. This is actually good for us as consumers. Sure it's absolutely rediculous that they are sponsoring him, but look at it this way:

Oakley can only make money off of sponsoring him. With the millions they make of Lil Jon, they aren't going to turn around and put that into R+D for new Lil John products, they're going to put some of into R+D for new products such as JACKETS and GOGGLES; stuff that actually needs R+D.

In addition, the more money Oakley makes, the less expensive and higher quality their stuff gets. Don't believe me? Look at their jackets for this year. All of them retail at far, far more resonable prices than years before. Why? It probably has some connection to the fact that they have put a ton of money into the ski/snowboard industries and have been rewarded greatly: every kid on the hill would kill for a free Oakley set up.

You have to look at this from all sides, kiddies.

^ yo thats a good point. And besides, like a couple other people have said already, oakley is a company, and companies have to make money. They are gonna expose their product a lot more if a rapper is wearing it than if a skier is.
