Oakley splice or smith iox

Both sick goggles. Never had splices BUT I have IO/X's and they are so really nice, and look dope as hell. I've got black with the red sol x lens and then another lens that's better for night. It's good shit.

I had the splice and now I have the IOX and i must say that I liked the fit, visible range, ease of changing lenses, and comfort. If both the Splice and the IOX fit similar I would go with the IOX personally but it's up to you in the end.

This. I have the Splices and the ioX, your main differences are gonna be the fit and whichever one you like the look of more. I like how the splice fits my face and doesn't pinch my nose. It is notable that the ioX don't have a rim around the lens so, you may need to be careful when setting them down if you take them off in the lodge. That said, the ioX goggle quick release strap works pretty well for me. I put my goggles under my helmet and the strap clip doesn't cause any pressure or discomfort. Just try them on and see what you like.

I have splices and they are really durable. I've landed on them and I have never had any problem with them and are still in prime condition. I highly recommend them.

my only beef with smith goggles is the foam that they use. It gets pressed down and stays like that so your goggle foam gets ruined pretty quickly. That is personally why I use crowbars or atleast for the moment.

The range of view of the I/OX is sooo much bigger than splices, a better comparison would be between the canopy and the I/OX, which are pretty similar.

I have I/OXs and I love them to death. I owned a pair of crowbars, which have a very similar range of view to the splice, and it's like night and day between those and the I/OX.

we switched up our foam this year which has drastically increased the fit, so make sure you check them out when they get to stores this fall. We have a new goggle coming out then called the Vice that fits really nice too

and not that the foam should be a problem anymore with this being said but just in case..smith does have a lifetime warranty that covers that
