Oakley single lens vs. double lens

I've been searching for a cheap crowbar lens for night skiing and I've seen so many of these crowbar single oakley lenses going on ebay for really cheap. I know if you buy any pair of crowbars from a store or online or whatever you get the double lens. I was wondering what the difference is between the single lens compared to the double lens. I'm sure the double has an advantage, but will the single still work without fogging, and blocking out light? Also are the lenses on ebay even legit oakley products? If you have any info please let me know, thanks. +Karma
 
I am 99% sure that crowbar lenses are ALL double..unless it's a MX lens

Bottom line, doesn't matter which company or goggle model - single lens is shithouse.
 
yeah the single lens is motocross... get the regular crowbars from your shop or something, and for a lens get a clear, a gold/cear, a ruby/clear, or a hi yellow
 
Aright thanks for the info, but no there are ones on ebay that are a single lens for the crowbar ski goggle
 
I hope many people read this and are the wiser for it. There are two sellers, only one whose name I know "Hongna575" or similar to that, sell what I would consider non-legitimate Oakley goggles. I don't know how he gets them, but this guy sells parts of goggles that are not complete. The lenses you see for crowbars, a-frames and wisdoms are only the exterior lens are and missing the interior. So, the outer lens is actually an Oakley product, but doesn't function the way it should. The inner lens is needed on winter goggles to help prevent fogging. If you hike at all, whether it be in the park, AT or BC pow lines, YOU WILL FOG these lenses. I don't know why he sells them with just the exterior lens, which isn't even an MX lens, it is a real snow lens, but without the inner clear plastic lens. So, long story short, do not buy from this guy unless he specifically states that it is a double lens. You will be sorry. Best of luck!
 
Single lenses from my experience fog way to easily. Since using double lenses ive had minimal to no foggign :)
