Im in the market for a new helmet, do the Oakley mod 1's ear pieces come out without taking out the head liner? Asking this cause with my bern macon 1.0 I had to use scissors to cut out the ear pieces. LMK!

I have the mips version and to remove ear pads I had to remove the whole liner

Is that comfortable tho? / wouldn't it move around ur head alot

With the beanie I wear it is confortable, and I still have the boa strap which I added after I removed liner so it doesn’t move.

Havent ridden with it in snow so I can’t tell warmth wise

I use it without the liner with a thin balaclava and it super comfortable, it’s lightweight and the boa thing keep it in place

I’ve never heard of having to cut ears out with scissors??

But yeah, like the other poster said - get a thin beanie/skullcap. I have an icebreaker merino one that does great. Only issue is it looks like an nfl skullcap when my helmet is off lmao

Yea ik kinda rediculous but the ears were part of the head liner so had to be done

Pretty late responding to this but the Oakley Mod1 Pro has removable earpieces while the regular mod1 you have to remove the whole liner if you don't want the earpieces
