Oakley Mod 1 BOA

Is it a bad idea to completely cut out the BOA in the helmet? Yeah it's really nice to have it fit snug around my head but with BOA I can't fit my gogs under the helmet without a massive forehead gap.

If it’s too big without the boa just wear a big beanie. I’m sure ur fine if u cut it out

I used to have this helmet if u take the liner out and do it like that it works pre good and looks fine

I bought one last week, took the liner out and threw a few extra helmet pads I had laying around in it, fits great for my weird square ass head. Don't take the boa out, kinda defeats the whole mips system as well.

How Does the BOA go hand in hand with the MIPS system? I didn’t know that but didn’t cut it out yet anyways

The mips system is somewhat fixed to the boa system, therefore the anti friction layer thing in the mips wouldn't be engaged in a crash and the yellow plastic mips shell thing would move with the helmet rather than independently with your head...If that makes any sense

Just did, doesn’t fit under the helmet sadly

the gap doesn’t look bad here but that’s with just putting the strap on the BOA. it usually gets even worse
