Just curious as nobody has the money to buy them all and try them first hand. Thanks and K for any real answers, much appreciated.

for low light i use the whistler lens which is the high intensity yellow it is really good for lowlight and brightens up everything and for brights day i use a different gogggle

I have the VR50 Pink Iriduim on splices and they perform good in just about any condition. I ski night with them, bright sunny days and flat light blizzard days. It's probably their most versatile lense. They aren't that good on the flat light blizzard days though... So I'd recommend Persimmon or H.I. Persimmon for those shitty visibility days. The H.I. Yellow gives me a headache sometimes. But it might not for you. Some good lenses for sunny days would be Dark Grey, Fire Iriduim and Black Iriduim etc. You really can't go wrong with any of their lenses!

Wow great answers, exactly the kind of info I'm looking for. +K to all of you, I really appreciate you taking the time.

I've never used a clear, I understand it would be perfect for night skiing but how does it protect from snow glare even on an overcast day? I know they still have UV protection but as far as the glare how bad is it? Thanks a lot.

Hi Yellow. Less VLT than clear, but yellow brings out some contrast.

Dark grey. Speaks for itself.

Pink iridium great 50/50 lens.

I have all 3 for my airbrakes.

to be honest i haveDark Grey

H.I. Yellow

Clear

i've been to lazy to bring the hi yellow so i run the clear and it's pretty decent

I've got Fire Iridium on my Splices for bluebird days. Light transmission on that is about 12%. I love them, but that's about all they're good for. The mirror effect is not just on the outside of the lens, however. When you're wearing the goggles, it transitions from red to yellow to blue/green to yellow to red (from left to right) on the inside of the lens as well. It doesn't bother me that much, but I thought I'd point it out since most people assume the color-changing mirror effect only works looking from the outside in. For bright days, basically any iridium lens (aka mirrored) would be a good choice.

I've got HI Yellow (83% transmission) for the cloudiest and foggiest of days. I've never used clear, but I would think the yellow provides more contrast and highlights. For everything in between, I use the good old Persimmon lens (62% transmission).

Night time: clearLow light: H.I. yellow

Sunny: Black, fire, or emerald iridium.

i rock grey polarized and pink irid

Low light and Night: Ruby Clear, HI Yellow, Clear or Yellow

Gray or gold/black/fire iridium for sunny days.

Oakley discounted the lighter regular "Pink Iridium" lens (57% vlt) and replaced it with the VR50 Pink Iridium (41% vlt), which isn't as good for low light conditions. Still good for semi flat/low light but I wouldn't suggest it if you night ski.
