can anyone put together a list of all oakley crowbar lenses in order of darkest to lightest? i have a fire lens so im looking for a lens for darker/night skiing.
 
fuck the searchbar, i already tried that. i want to see if anyone that knows their shit can put together an actual list from darkest to lightest

yeah and as kabozo101 said, a high intensity lens would probably be the best for what you want, and yeah use the searchbar. There are 3000 threads on oakley lenses.
 
it's obviously dated though, doesn't have pink iridium etc, so it may be for sunglasses - same shit.

Here's the deal. If you are a serious skier, you should have a quiver

of goggles/lenses. Here is what I currently think about the Oakley

lenses based on my use:

Sun Lens:

Fire = Darkest

Other good options = Black Ir, Gold Ir, Vr28

General Cloudy Lens:

Pink = I like it a lot

Other good options = persimmon, G30 (have not used this though)

Night/Super flat/puking snow:

Hi Yellow

Clear

I have them both because I grew up on clear at night.

I also have Blue iridium for partly sunny days. I think that Blue

Iridium is about as close to a 'do everything' lens as you will get.
 
yeah, I agree with the multiple goggles or at least lenses viewpoint. I have A Frames with Persimmon for all around, A Frames with Fire Iridium for sunny days, and Crowbars with HI- Intensity Yellow for cloudy and low light. I don't use the persimmon as often because my sister usually takes it but it's good for those days where it's not really either extreme and the light is all over the place.
 
k well i used to have a vr28 lens for my a frames. they seemed like a good allround lens. im wondering what the difference is between black iridium vr28, the vr28, and the black iridium lens.
