Oakley Glasses

did anyone else knew that Oakley made awesome vision correcting glasses as well. I always figured they would klnda suck, because other sunglass companies have tried to make correction frames, but they always seemed fragile as hell, so i stayed clear. But i just got a pair and they are the besy glasses i have ever owned, really good construction, not flimsy at all, and they were convered by my insuarance. Props to Oakley for another great product, i highly reccomend them

seems like you're young and doubted oakley's optics budget and prowess. They are good shit, and their glasses have been solid for a long time. but when it comes to goggles, I don't understand the crazy obsession for things like crowbars, but it doesn't discredit their solid summer, snow, and prescription optics.

To all the people that want Lasik in here, careful, I know a guy who permanently can't really see at night because of his. He also still needs to wear contacts.

Agreed. I don't like my glasses and I don't like my contacts. So annoying.
But I'm not looking forward to being able to smell my eyes getting burnt into shape either...

do they have them right on the site? i didnt see any when i looked real quick... I'm getting so sick of contacts and have been looking for a nice set of glasses

besy, convered

Same. I've had to wear glasses since before kindergarten. I got contacts when I was 9. I'm so sick of it. You guys with perfect vision have no idea how lucky you are to be able to wake up in the morning and actually be able to see clearly when you open your eyes..

ive got the o2's and recently just bought the wiretaps.

had the o2s for atleast 6 or 7 years. never had a problem with them. just change the lenses as my vision slips.

however im saving up for lazer eye, but i have heard not to go and cheap out on it.

i've had my Oakley glasses for about 3 years now. awesome construction, all metal no shitty paint chips, could do with some beefed up springs though asthey fall off my face if i do too much. but that's why i wear contact lensesfor normal life ie. sports driving and not sitting on my arse. but please people think twice before laser eye. i used to think it wasgodly but i've heard nasty stuff. at first i didn't realise that they don't goto the root of bad vision (weak muscles in your eye) but they just carve out alens into your eyeball. so as with your prescription of your normal glasseseventually they will no longer give you perfect vision and will need changing.so you may want to wait until the technology has been around a bit longerbefore checking it out. also a family friend had it done, after a nights sleep she woke up blindin one eye, was rushed to hospital and they did the best they could but shewill never, never have normal vision out of that eye again. peace

ok most of what you hear is bull my dad makes a living off of lasik surgeries and never has anything gone wrong. if you go to someone good you will be fine, and why wouldnt you want to spend more on getting good eye sight back. my dad had it done on himself as well and no more glasses.

oh i'm sure that it does go very well for many people and i'm not trying to degrade your dads profession, i'm just saying it's not always 100% successful. and me personally, i'm not willing to risk my eyesight -which i vaule greatly- for 2 minutes less in the morning putting my contacs in.

nothing is certain, but risk is relative.

Statistically, you're more at risk for an eye infection (most likely from a scratched cornea) from contacts than lasik by far. Also, almost all the procedures go very well, and the procedures keep getting better and more successful. I've head terrible things (and seen terrible things) pertaining to driving, but I still drive all the time, as do most.

In the end, it is like any other surgical procedure. Personally, I'm with ya (at least for now) about not risking fucking up my eyesight, but I'm don't like contacts or glasses so I just deal with it.

My mom, aunt and uncle all got laser eye surgery together. All three can see great. They just need to always wear sunglasses when the suns out or something might screw up. 3 out of 3 went perfect, the chances of the doctors messing up is slim to none. Plus you get some badass shades to wear for a week :P

i have oakley glasses and they are sick. i threw them at a wall and they got really fucked up, both lenses fell out and the frames got all twisted but it only took a few seconds to get them fixed
