Oakley crowbar question

I just got a jet black pair with black irid lenses. since the lens isn't completely black i really want to get one that is. i know that the one I'm looking for is the dark grey polarized but I'm not looking to spend that much. will the plain dark grey work as well?

I had dark grey on my crowbars and they were tight until they got commandeered by some jackass at burke mountain

if you just want the blacked out look, regular dark grey would be way cheaper.

obviously the polorized will perform in a wider variety of conditions, but you're paying for it.
