So i listed an extra pair of A-frames that i had around on ebay like 5 days ago. Today i tried to sign into my ebay account to see how they're doin and my account was suspended, and all of my other 10 auctions were canceled. Why? Because Oakley reported me for using an image that is copyrighted by them. How gay is that? All the time and energy that i've put into those auctions is gone, and i cant get into my ebay account at all. I used to support Oakley alot, but it's now clear that they are only concerned about "protecting" their brand. I guess the money that i was saving for a medic will go towards an Orage Op suit instead, along with the crowbar's i guess i'll have to get something else.

i honestly don't think i'll buy anthing oakley anymore. my ebay account is TERMINATED, and ebay says i can't make a new account. this is so fucking lame.
 
thats werid...people use the pics off Oakleys site all the time in ebay auctions
 
is that the reason though? did ebay tell u? cuz there r a ton of ebay auctions that use pictures from the manufacturer's site. expecially oakley

that sucks you would think oakely makes enough money without needed to be anal about people using there picks on ebay
 
doesn't say anything about Oakley in there. But you must have used a specific one. Also, I doubt they are this ridiculous, but people can track if you download a picture from their site. Maybe they tracked you and your listing? who even knows?
 
you should consider contacting oakley about this, maybe an apologetic letter telling them that you were not aware that the use of one of their pictures was not allowed on ebay since you've seen other people use them. I uno it's worth a shot.
