NZ herald writer shit talking Jossi's performance

She is obviously very educated in skiing, therefore her argument is easily a very valid point.

In all seriousness, this woman is an absolute joke. I personally witnessed one of, if not the most, styley runs in comp pipe history by none other than Jossi himself, the so called "biggest disappointment" of the Kiwi team (which I might add, was poorly scored, in my opinion). I do sincerely hope she gets in a bit of shit for writing that article, however I doubt she will.
 
I think i was reading somewhere else about how snowboarders and skiers don't take their events seriously enough, criticising them for smiling and hugging people when they didn't get a good place. And it struck me as a stupid thing to point out. Yeah comp skiing is serious, but at the end of the day it's just skiing. That's something that no other winter Olympic sport besides maybe snowboarding really has. Do you think people who do skeleton just hang out with their buds and do skeleton on the weekends? Hell no. They train their assess off to the point where it becomes a job. Skiing and snowboarding however aren't like that. Pros aren't doing it just to win. They're doing it because they love to ski. It becomes their job but the idea that it's just something fun to do still remains, even at the Olympic level which is amazing to me. This writer has no grasp of that and is truly wrong.
 
who would have guessed the olympics would cause dumbasses who know nothing about skiing to complain about it, thinking they know what freeskiing is actually about. jossi killed it whether his score shows that or not.

..yeah, instead of talking about how Jossi was probably effing jipped for one of the cleanest pipe runs I've ever seen, IN ABYSMAL conditions and a slow pipe? at night?

I mean, he got 4th against some extremely tough dudes who have been on top of the pipe game for a while. That's impressive in it's own right for a guy who is a 2 discipline athlete from a country that amazingly put the same amount of athletes in the pipe as America, Canada and France - nations with, no doubt, far stronger freestyle backgrounds and much much larger populations of freestyle skiers.

Instead of being so negative, she SHOULD be talking about how these guys made their country proud by continually putting on a great show and competing hard... and for the Wells' brothers for all qualifying and representing their country as an incredibly talented family...

I mean, what... as an American am I supposed to point a finger at Torin Yater-Wallace or Bobby Brown for not getting a medal and being a waste of money for having been sent over there? or what about any other athlete who doesn't come home with hardware? Are they all just wasting their time if they don't force everyone else to hear their national anthem by bringing home a gold?

...early morning rant because I'm just waiting for the lifts to start turning, but seriously? Fuck this bitch. Lets break the guiness world record for largest internet lambasting and get this hoe fa sho fired.

 
I can't take this article seriously at all. She makes damning assertions based on her impression of activities that she fundamentally misunderstands.

The more we click it the better for her...
