I would be more woried about getting AIDS or geting a girl pregnant. You know something that you know about or prevent.

Countries will probably never resort to nuclear weaponary agains eac other however funalmentalist groups would if they could.

so move to montana whatever.

Just remember what hipocrats the US is.

Also think about this. One boomer submarine has the ability to make all of south america uninhabitibal for 1000 years. We have several in constant operation...
 
who says the bomb would detonate? bombs just dont detonate on impact anymore, its too unreliable. we can shoot bombs down without setting them off
 
I personally think that you are entirely right to be worried about nuclear war. I certainly am.

According to Noam Chomsky's "Failed States" page 9, Strategic Analysts John Steinbruner and Nancy Gallagher have warned that the Bush administrations military programs and agressive stance on such issues as "national security" carry "an appreciable risk of ultimate doom". The Bush administration has also not only exdended Clinton's "control of space" doctrine but urged that the US military maintain OWNERSHIP of space. How can you propertize space? The weaponization of space has lead to other global "significants" such as China and even Russia to closely watch the programs the Pentagon is putting into practice.

Anyone see similarities to the Cold War scenario here???

Another thing to consider when analysing the mainstream "news" in which generally only people of "stature" are interviewed, is; Do the facts add up? Does what they say have any factual evidence in history?

William Blum once stated the two laws of American Politics, coming out of the Watergate saga:

1, No matter how paranoid you are, what the government is actually doing is worse than you imagine.

2, Don't beleive anything until it's been officially denied.

Taking all these things into account, and the irrational, inhumane doctrines of US foreign policy since Vietnam, I think Nuclear holocaust is entirely possible, if not certain.

Ignorance at it's finest. He should know above all that hatred cannot be dissolved by money, and that, in itself, is another reason why Middle Eastern countries hate us. We try to "buy" friends.

While I do agree with him that we need to treat Isreal as a foreign country and not a 51st state, his ideas of stopping terrorism in a day is preposterous.
 
The US being rich hasn't helped us out yet, how could Blum think that us 'giving charity' to others would help?

haha i have that quote on my door at home. ummm i don't think he mentions charity as such, but more reparations you know. but i do agree with you in that some things he says are a little absurd but some things are quite true as they can be backed up by well documented evidence. plenty of it in: "Us foreign Policy: a study in Hypocrisy".

Chomsky on the other hand, has a reply to any question of him as a conspiracy theorist. he backs every statement with facts. A talent that makes him 'one of the most important intellectuals alive"
 
Well to other countries, 'reperations' will look just like Charity. Think of it this way; a rich guy fucks you over and blows up your house so the daughter feels bad and gives you a few bucks (not enough to rebuild your house, because in comparison, some things that they've lost in the middleeast is irreplacable). That would feel like charity right?

NK says that they have a bomb. when a country gets a bomb, it gives them some level of immunity. thats why bush is pressuring iran hardest because he lost the race with NK due to their isolation. now the race is on to stop iran from getting a bomb and ultimatley immunity.
