Nuclear Iran

Israel is going to knock the shit out of Iran pretty soon. I don't envy the Iranians, they could get WHOOPED. As soon as Israel recognizes a serious threat to their ability to exist, shit is going down.
 
Israel is gonna get pissed and just level the country sometime. My dad was going through the Suez canal on a merchant ship shortly after the war Israel had with Egypt and there was a town right next tot he canal I guess that was incredibly pretty. The Israelis leveled it and left nothing over 2 feet high standing and nothing but the donkeys alive.
 
They enriched 20%, which falls far short of producing nuclear weapons. they could enrich 80%, but have chosen not too (so far at least). Ahmadinejad has said that Iran is a "nuclear state" that is, they are able to produce enriched nuclear material, which can be used for energy not just a weapon. Obviously, I don't trust Iran as far as nuclear material goes, but they have every right to do what they are doing (see "Atoms for Peace" treaty back during the Eisenhower administration). The IAEA has inspected their nuclear facilities, but have found nothing wrong, save the hidden underground nuclear site, which I sympathize with them for because of past events and their relationship with Israel (see Operation Opera and Al-Quds Day.) The media blows this event up like Iran intends to nuke the world.
 
yeah, you don't fuck with those guys. They have an incredible military. I support their right to exist, hopefully they knock the shit out of Iran without us having to get involved.

Another country to watch out for that is keeping their weapons on the dl is Lebanon
If you look up past articles about Lebanon on Aljazeera, you will be amazed to see all this shit they have, but then theres few new articles about them, so MAYBE they don't have anymore but in reality, they could fuck shit up
 
Lebanon has had the shit kicked out of them for the better part of 2 decades if not 3 for no real reason other than dbag terrorists from Syria go through Lebanon to attack Israel.

true about Lebanon getting the shit kicked out of them, but because the other countries keep going through them, they are due for revenge soon, and they do have some heavy weapons, and because of the other countries (I believe Israel about 4 years ago? Don't quote me though) Lebanon will want revenge and might stop at no cost and they wont be scared because they dont give a shit anymore. When will this happen? Maybe never, but if it does, it could be ugly mainly in the middle east. I know that won't have a big effect, but still, reading some of their past articles, its scary how no one cares about them really

Iran and Iraq and Israel, yea they all could be dangerous but society in America is forgetting about the other countries such as Pakistan and Lebanon. Right now this second, there is a army soldier sitting next to me who just got back from a six month tour in Afghanistan and he leaves in 5 days to go back for another 6 month tour. Listening to his stories, no matter where he was at, safe zone or not, he woke up thinking "Is this the day I die". Something serious needs to be done about all these countries.
 
Israel is not really dangerous to society, it really is playing a defensive role in what it is doing... Lebanon is not really a threat, sure there are fundamentalists there, but Lebanon is very closely connected to western values due to the large amount of Christians that live there. Pakistan used to be very dangerous but now the problems are exposed a little more, and sure still is dangerous, but at least people are aware of the threat of the talibanization of a nuclear power.

Iran on the other hand is extremely dangerous... if you look at the leaders and their track record... such as how they treat their own people, nevermind the people that border their country, them having nuclear capabilities would be a large threat to world security.

I see your point but these countries are not immediately a threat however given time they easily could amount to a very serious threat, especially if you followed them 3-4 years ago when they were considered threats
 
THANK YOU so much for understanding what is going on. I've been following this story for many months and I'm tired of people running for the hills because Fox News is telling them Iran is making nuclear weapons.

I had some asshole come up to me on campus today with a clipboard and flyers asking for support of Israel. Saying how Iran is making nukes and will attack soon. I wanted to punch him
 
Word man, you can't blame the people though, it's just the media's way of getting better ratings, pretty fucked up but you can't change it. Honestly though, I've had a shitton of people say "We're dead 2012 because Iran's going to nuke us!!!!!" I hate ignorance a lot, but this post gave me some hope.

IAEA has inspectors in all of their facilities at all times, so no, they are in fact just enriching to 20%.

The media pisses me off so much, whenever they talked about the whole Sejil 2 missile launch they bring up that it has the range to reach Israel. They automatically assume that because they're testing a missile that can reach Iran that they are gonna nuke the shit outta them. Fucking people man, fucking people
