Been looking for a solid park to hit around December/January. I started looking into Michigan because I'm from Ohio and I keep coming back to Nubs Nob. I am basically looking for a good place to ski with in a 6-8 hour drive. Seven Springs is in that range but I plan on going their a few times, so besides Seven Springs what do you Mid West guys like in Michigan, West Virgina, Pistolvania, And New York?

if you're in lower michigan, check out cannonsburg, nubs, or brighton.

brighton just got some million dollar upgrades which include their park.

personally went to both nubs and cannonsburg last year, both were great for midwest

Cburg would probably cut about 3 hours off your drive and their park is super solid.

Brighton got bought by vail and is getting hella upgraded so it may be worth the trip and isn't far from the Ohio border at all. But all in all nubs is a super solid place, best in Michigan IMO.

If you like rails, Hawk Island has the best urban park in Michigan, even better than Cburg this year, I thought. Nubs has a more well rounded park than Cburg, but all three of those are the best. I also ride at Brighton and they have some massive plans so you should head there too for sure.

Shit thanks bro'sss. I have been more into jumps in the years before but have built a summer setup this year so my rail game is uping. All around park would be bad ass but your ideas have sparked more fires!!! Jah bless

Id def do a northern michigan trip, and wrap up with cburg. Nubs def has the best park in northern michigan. Id say boyne or schuss is next. For SE michigan, Pineknob usually has the best jumps. I wouldnt come to SE Michigan though. Id stick to a trip up north and hit up nubs, boyne, and highlands. All very close to eachother.

Start up at boyne Mtn and boyne highlands, drive about 45 mins down to nubs hit up Schuss Mtn and Crystal, and wrap it up with Cannonsburg and Brighton

New park crew!?!? A boy can only hope this is true haha. Nothing against the one last year they definitely stepped it up from past seasons, but still pretty lack luster compared to CBurg

That's still something to be stoked about. And yes they stepped it up a ton last year compared to other years. I'm just excited to see what they hav in store for us this season

I was supposed to go to Park City last February but I couldn't get the plane ticket out there. I live in Louisville, Kentucky so rather than going to PC me and a couple buddies drove up to C-burg through a fucking blizzard for three days of skiing. It ended up being really fun and I would definitely recommend checking out Cannonsburg. They have a dope monster rail park and an okay three jump line. It often gets icy at night but I mean hey, it's the midwest.

Nubs and cannonsburg are the best parks in Michigan as of last season, I am getting my pass to Brighton this year, Im hoping they step it up, and set up the sickest park in the midwest.

As far as non park skiing goes, your best bet is definitely nubs, lots of fun terrain there if they get some snow. Boyne tends to be either flat or really steep nubs has alot more different pitched terrain and imo has the most diverse terrain outside of the UP.

Stay away from boyne mountain for park, biggest waste of time. Only time to ski park at boyne mt is stashbash in the spring. the "park" crew are a bunch of lil boners.

I heard when they moved the park onto a different hill last year, it was fucking tight. It was the one woth its own lift serviced to it.

The park is terrible until the spring, when they move it to a new lift and make it bigger. Every time I have been there in January or February the park is a joke.

Cannonsburg has probably the best park around west michigan. If you have the time go to boyne later in the year they will normally have so good size jumps
